Wonderfully cosy gite in an excellent countryside location

This cottage is a real "home" which is ideally situated in the midst of the beautiful "Montagnes Bourbonnaises", with plenty of varied walks accessible immediately from the house. As well as a beautiful garden with views, the house also benefits from a light conservatory from which you can still admire the same views on a rainy day, and a logfire for when it gets cold outside! It is in an incredibly tranquil location (maximum 6 cars pass the house on any one day) and a real "get-away-from-it-all" holiday home. Furthermore the owner is most charming and helpful should you need anything - but else respects your privacy fully. We had a wonderful stay and hope to go back to explore the countryside further.

The property is very homely and had all the facilities we needed to help make our stay enjoyable A car is a must as Vichy is about a 45 minute drive away, but we find this no problem. We would st some like to revisit and would if was available stay at the property

Beautiful house and location

The location is beautiful, perfect if you want to get away from daily life and routine for a few days, ideal for walking. The closed garden is very handy for the dog so they can ran around. The house has everything you need.

Beautiful Scenery

This property is located in a beautiful location and well suited as a base for walks/hikes. Lapalisse has nice shops for cakes and meats, and a small supermarket for essentials. Vichy, Digoin and Roanne are easy drives within about 40mins. Le Mayet-de-Montagne is also an easy drive and has a supermarket and fuel. All unique places and we enjoyed them all very much. Accommodation is fully equipped and would recommend to a friend who wants to get away from major towns and enjoy hill walking.

Peaceful retreat, totally relaxing.

We have had a wonderful week in this fully equipped cottage in the hill 6km above Arfueilles. Marie could not have been more friendly and helpful. Amazing, wooded, hilly walking countryside with views forever. Walking trail guide in English would have helped, but we enjoyed the challenge! Shop before coming as limited stores in Arfueilles. Thank you Marie

The views were brilliant. The cottage was comfortable and had every facility. The garden was enclosed and safe for the dogs. The landlady was very helpful and flexible. I was under the impression that I had paid by credit card but we worked out a way that she received the cash she expected now to chase you lot (Home Away).

Very pleasant tranquil location

Clean and tidy cottage with lots of charm. Rural "away from it all" location so great for relaxing. Comfortable and with all the essentials. Not too far from small villages for the essentials. Vichy just 40 minutes away. Some nice restaurants easily reached by car Lovely owner. Very pleasant and helpful.

Maison agréablement fraîche lorsqu’il fait chaud, cuisine équipée. Très beau jardin entièrement clôturé et sécuritaire pour nos animaux de compagnie qui sont les bienvenus. Plusieurs randonnées au départ de la maison. On a passé un très bon séjour nous recommandons vivement.

Petite maison tres bien equipée, nous avons apprécié l'accueil de la propriétaire qui sait rester discrete tout en étant accessible facilement. Et ce calme serein accompagné d’un ciel etoilé la nuit est vraiment reposant.Le jacuzzi est un vrai plus quand il fait chaud !Le gite est bien situé pour les visites du patrimoine, toutefois, la voiture est indispensable.Gite ideal pour les amoureux de la nature et du calme !

Excellente literie , cadre agréable avec un terrain plus grand qu'il n'y parait et le spa est un vrai atout après séance de bronzage. Endroit très calme et paisible avec possibilité de promenades à pieds avec des balisages à chaque sentier. Madame DAVID est super gentille et toujours accessible. Maison très propre.

vacances reposantes et superbes

Un grand merci à Marie-Pierre notre hôte qui nous a accueilli avec bienveillance. Nous avons passés avec nos ados de 15 et 17 ans une excellente semaine reposante et faites de randonnées (circuite de la madone, puy du Roc, cascade de la pisserotte, plan d'eau de st Clément avec toutes les activités accrobranches et nautiques) dépaysement garanti. La maison de Marie-Pierre est endroit ou l'on peut se reposer et admirer les jolis paysages vu de sa véranda et son jardin. Le plus le Spa qui nous a détendu après chaque randonnée. Vacances en famille superbes. Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés

Un petit paradis dans un écrin de verdure

Si comme nous vous aimez le calme, la nature tout en appréciant le confort, alors ce gîte est fait pour vous. Nous avons apprécié la propreté, l'aménagement joli et fonctionnel de la maison. Le jardin soigneusement entretenu est également très plaisant. En bref, ce lieu ressemble à sa propriétaire. Marie-Pierre a su être à la fois accueillante, discrète et efficace. Parfait !

Notre séjour à Arfeuilles a été tout simplement parfait. La petite maison est un véritable havre de paix niché au cœur de la nature, idéale pour se ressourcer quelques jours. L'équipement est impeccable, avec en particulier un jacuzzi qui s'est révélé être un vrai atout pour se détendre. De plus, la propriétaire s'est montrée d'une grande disponibilité et d'une gentillesse exceptionnelle, toujours à l'écoute de nos besoins. Une expérience que nous recommandons vivement à ceux qui recherchent la tranquillité et le confort au milieu d'un cadre enchanteur. Nous y reviendrons avec grand plaisir !

Fijn huis met prachtig uitzicht

Wij hebben een heerlijke week gehad in dit huis. Het is zeer rustig gelegen, een eindje buiten Arfeuilles, wat hoger op de heuvel, zodat je prachtig uitzicht hebt over de omgeving. Een ideale plek voor wie houdt van rust, natuur en wandelen. Je kunt vanuit huis diverse wandelingen maken, maar ook in de wijdere omgeving zijn mooie routes te lopen, met o.a. uitzicht op de Puys. Het huis is schoon, compleet ingericht en heeft ook een heerlijke tuin. Prima bed ook. De foto’s geven een goed beeld van het geheel. Wel oppassen als je lang bent, want de deurposten zijn vrij laag.

Un cadre agréable et reposant

Très bien accueilli, vous découvrez rapidement un cadre idéalement calme et reposant. La maison est magnifique et très propre. Marie-Pierre est très disponible et répond à toutes vos questions. De la documentation disponible avec les différentes activités possibles mais également les balades à faire dans le coin. Pour ma part j'ai fais les cascades de la Pisserote, château Lapalisse, l'église de Châtel Montagne, Vichy, la forteresse de Billy.... J'ai adoré mon passage dans cette région et j'ai adoré mon lieu de séjour. Un grand merci a Marie Pierre pour tout.

Un havre de paix

Très belle propriété, maison accueillante il y a tout ce qu'il faut et la literie est confortable. Cerise sur le gâteau un extérieur magnifique, un jardin fleuri très bien aménagé, une vue superbe sur les collines avoisinantes et un calme reposant. Multiples randonnées et quelques une au départ du gîte. Merci Marie-Pierre pour votre accueil et votre gentillesse.

Superbe maison agréable

La maison très jolie conforme aux photos , le spa est génial et fait du bien après de longues balades dans les bois . Cuisine complète , literie très confortable . Si vous cherchez un endroit calme et repausant vous avez la bonne adresse . Endroit parfait pour les amoureux de la marche , balade au départ de la maison . Séjour serein et heureux dans un écrin de verdure

2 superbes semaines dans un écrin de verdure, au calme avec une vue magnifique. Mme David nous a accueillis chaleureusement dans sa maison très confortable, où la propreté y est irréprochable et où prendre le temps de vivre est un ravissement quotidien ... venez vous reposer, marcher sans prendre la voiture, respirer ... et cuisiner ! Il y a tout ce qu'il faut, ce qui est rare. Merci encore Mme David pour ce séjour qui nous a bien requinqués. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir pour goûter à nouveau le miel de vos abeilles ! ;-) Prenez bien soin de vous.
