Letâs start with the good things. It is a very central location and meets the basic needs of a rental. The check in and check out was great. The house was clean.Areas for improvement: when we got there not all the lights were functioning and as we tried to turn others on a breaker tripped, and the outlet sparked in my wifeâs hand. I had to go outside in the dark and hunt around for the breaker box and fix the two tripped breakers. Fortunately, that did not happen again for the rest of our stay. That is an example of an overall electrical system that is in need of a serious update. There are numerous overhead lights in the house that are nothing more than a swag plugged into an outlet on the wall. In the kitchen, there is a light fixture with a wire hanging loose and not connected to a bulb. We did not test it, but itâs hard to imagine how this is not alive wire with the configuration of the lighting. The pictures of the house were taken some time ago and when the house was in better condition. The picnic table and cabinets in the kitchen show substantially more wear than in the photos. Finally, the house must be very well insulated. It was not very cold outside yet the heater ran so often just to keep the house 68. Iâm sure that if you had actual cold weather, it would probably run all the time. This is a problem because the unit is actually quite loud, especially in the area of the downstairs bedroom. Anyway, itâs not a terrible place, but not a very good value
