Excellent Cabin in Camp Connell

The cabin is in a quiet, peaceful location, nestled in the trees. It was stocked with everything we needed and had games and a foosball table. It was clean and well appointed. Overall the Sugarpine cabin is a great place to stay!

Great place!

This cabin had everything we needed. There was a fun foosball table for the boys. It was Gucci. The kitchen was perfect, the beds were very comfortable, we loved it!

Quiet and peaceful getaway

We loved our stay at Sugarpine. Check in and out was a breeze and the host was warm and responsive. The property has everything you need and more. Kitchen was fully stocked and even had condiments and spices. The kids enjoyed the downstairs and playing outside. We will be back in the summer for sure!

Loved this cute cabin

Would def stay again. Well appointed. Had everything you could need. Kitchen well equipped. Comfy beds. Games, tv, nice laundry, plenty of towels, deck and gas grill. Also enjoyed the community pool.

Wonderful!

We thoroughly enjoyed this cabin. When we arrived, the house was cool and the outdoor lights were twinkling. We loved the fact that there is a Rec. Center membership. We hope to be back to Sugar Pine cabin in the winter for some fun in the snow.

Christmas Stay

We loved the property and the location, the beautiful cabin was clean and well stocked for a family stay. There was plenty of snow and sleds for the kids to keep entertained. Thank you! This was our first white Christmas.

Very Nice Cabin

My family and I stayed here over the weekend to attend a wedding in Lake Alpine. It was the perfect place! The cabin was clean, had everything you needed, even as we didn't do any cooking. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms spotless. Easy access to the property. I'd recommend this cabin to anyone who is looking for a nice place to stay near Bear Valley and Lake Alpine.

Comfy Cabin

We had a great stay. The cabin is well stocked, clean and warm in the winter. Beds were very comfortable, especially compared to other rentals. Communication with the property manager was quick and easy.The cabin is best for three adults and three kids, or two adults and four kids. This avoids doing the pull out couch in the middle of the unit. Love the location. Highly recommend.

Fun time in the snow

Communication was great with Shelia and the cabin check-in process was painless. The area was perfectly situated between Big Trees and Bear Valley. We had everything we needed and then some with all the sleds for us to use. Neighborhood was nice and quiet and the amenities inside were all top quality - loved the air fryer too! Great trip - we will be back again!

Excellent Place

Sugar Pine Retreat was awesome. Place was clean, quiet and very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for dinner and breakfast. It was a short drive up to Bear Valley for skiing and down to Arnold for supplies and restaurants. Be advised, the driveway is steep and can get a little icy after a storm. But they have a huge supply of ice melting granules on the side of the house. Will definitely book again.

Relaxing cabin feel in the Western Sierras

We loved staying at this well-equipped house as we explored the Western Sierras a bit. I was there with one adult daughter and my 16 yo son. Even though there are neighbors, they weren't super close and I felt like we had privacy. The deck is great for grilling and chilling. My kids enjoyed nearby Big Trees State Park, and we also made a day trip to Murphys, which is a charming little old west mountain town. The check-in process was very easy. The whole unit was very clean. The kitchen was well-equipped and we were able to make all our meals there. If you're like me and can't cook without sharp knives, don't worry- there are decent knives for slicing and chopping!

Good cabin for a family

The cabin is nice and well located. I visited with my family, we were five, three adults and two children (seven and three years old). The cabin has a door for the staircase that I did not use as my three years old daughter is perfectly capable to handle stairs. There are plenty of games in the cabin and the kitchen has enough to cook for a couple of days. The main floor is upstairs and we used the fireplace to really get comfortable. The living room table is a bit small and only offers two benches, this is the only reason I would recommend this place only for small families. Note that the driveway is steep, we were lucky with the snow but it was not easy to get on top. I short: we had a great time.

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay Labor Day Weekend. We booked this spot last minute and were pleasantly surprised. The house is located on a quiet street with lots of trees and privacy. The driveway is steep but there were 3 parking spots- may be challenging in the snow. The house was updated, beds were comfy, house was very clean and stocked with plenty of kitchen stuff, towels and toys. Came with HOA amenity passes though we didn’t end up using them. We had trouble finding the lockbox when we arrived but it was actually by the downstairs entrance, not the main door. Cleanup was easy before checkout. A quick drive to Arnold for restaurants, close to the Lube Room and Big Trees Park. Deck was nice. There are stairs to get to the lower level that are steep and slippery so be careful of this with young kids, older folks and clumsy adults (we slipped on them with our socks). There is a door st the top of the stairs to block off for kiddos. Overall, we would recommend!
