We had a great stay at the Mountain Adventure House! We visited Asheville and Pisgah National forest for a mountain biking trip, and the house was perfect for our group. Close to the trails, plenty of room, and a knowledgeable and accommodating host. Thanks for everything!
Our family really enjoyed our stay in this spacious house with plenty of space for us. It was nice to have activities for the grandkids especially the trampoline and pool table were a big hit. Also enjoyed fire pit for sâmores. Thank you to our gracious host, Megan, who communicated in a timely matter.
We enjoyed our stay! The house had a great variety of things to do for adults and children. We were close to many trails and the neighborhood park was great. A great location near downtown, tubing and outlets. We had one issue, but Meghan was quick to respond. Would recommend this house and hope to stay again!
We stayed here with our three adult children, and a couple of their spouses. We were able to have our dogs with us who are a huge part of our family without stress and worry because the house was well-suited to all of us. Itâs just far enough away from the city to be in the mountains, but close enough to go enjoy the breweries, the restaurants and other fun things Asheville has to offer.
There are great hiking trails right at the end of the street and the Blue Ridge Parkway is very close for beautiful drive if hiking not your gig. We would highly recommend this to any family especially if you want to bring along your best friend the family dog.
The children (ages 6 - 10) in our group
loved the backyard and play equipment there. The basement was a great place for them to hang out when the weather didnât cooperate or when they just wanted to have some movie time.
The back deck was wonderful for meals and relaxing outside. And having bedrooms on three different levels gave each family some privacy.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying there!
This was our second stay at this property for our Christmas vacation. We had a wonderful time! With warm temperatures, we took advantage of being able to walk to the Pisgah National Forest daily (Within minutes of the property, without getting into your car). We enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings. We donât have any young children so we didnât take advantage of the trampoline and other on site activities for kids.
The property owners were very responsive to all of our queries. The property was clean, the kitchen was well stocked, and not having to bring linens and towels made our travels easier.
We would stay at this property again.
We had a great trip! The outdoor space is amazing for kids, and they are well stocked with supplies for fun water outings. The location is so great for all of the things to do in Asheville.
The only thing we could have hoped for is a TV on the main floor near the kitchen. We would definitely stay here again!
Actually, itâs great for ANYBODY, but if you have young kids, they wonât want to leave the property. We had our grandchildren ages 8, 6, and 4. I had read them the house description online and said there would be âthings to do.â They started asking âwhen are we going to the fun house?â After a day my 6 year old said âthis is even funner than we thought!â The kid zip line was a huge hit, safe, and traveled through a gorgeous bed of flowers. There were even more things for the kids to do than in the description.
The location is great..grocery nearby and easy to get to downtown asheville or the Blue Ridge parkway. We had 4 adults and 3 kids. The rooms were spacious and there was a wonderful deck overlooking the backyard. Everything you could need in the kitchen. The host was wonderful and checked in with us by text. She answered my simple questions right away. This was a great place and I highly recommend staying at the Mountain Adventure Houseâaka the Fun House!
We stayed for NYE and had a wonderful time at this property. Usually we try to get to town a few times during our stay but this house had SO much for the kids to do outside that we barely left at all. It was also very convenient to Ingles which didnât make extra grocery runs feel like such an imposition. It is definitely a âpet-friendlyâ home so people with allergies plan accordingly. The kitchen was very well stocked for a rental (extra paper towels, toilet paper, detergent and soap even included) and the layout was very open. They even included a very thoughtful basket of toiletries in case we had forgot anything. We traveled with 6 adults and 5 children and never felt cramped on space. A TV on the main level wouldâve been very welcome but we made do. The bottom floor was very well appointed and didnât feel basement-y at all. Overall we loved our stay here and would definitely consider it again if in the area.
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely home on the outskirts of Asheville! It was a wonderful place to celebrate Christmas with our families, we even got snow on Christmas Eve and Christmas day! It was so wonderful that the owner allows dogs, so that they did not have to miss out on the fun! We enjoyed the spacious and well stocked kitchen, the large den downstairs with the dartboard, the fireplace to keep us warm in the evenings and all the windows that provided warmth during the day. Despite the cold, we enjoyed a fire in the fire pit and tried out the zip line in the backyard.
