The home was nicely restored with many antiques filling the rooms. The breakfast was excellent and we were given a special grab and go for early departure. There was a nice coffee area with an outdoor sitting area with a river view, although the highway noise in front of the river detracted. However, the neighborhood was very rundown.
Beautiful building, nicely decorated rooms. Lovely coffee/tea area with balcony and food river views. Road below is very noisy on weekdays when a lot of big trucks go by. A bit better on weekends. Owner is friendly, but not nosy. Breakfast was wonderful each day.
Teresa is great! You get a delicious hot breakfast every morning. The rooms are very clean. Itâs nice to visit with other travelers during breakfast. We are definitely going to stay at Crosby House again. Highly recommend!
What an adorable and comfortable place to stay. Totally charming in all ways. Theresa is a wonderful cook - breakfasts were delicious and inventive. Easy walking to everything in Astoria. Room was very comfortable and well stocked. Generous towels, entry of surfaces to put things.
This BnB had that perfect blend from the proprietor of 'pride of ownership' and respecting the privacy of their guests.
Crosby House is filled with beautiful antiques and kept spotless by Theresa, the owner. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast on each of the two mornings we stayed. (It compared well with our relatives who stayed in a chaotic, noisy, nearby hotel with 'breakfast in a bag' served each day.)
When I read reviews I tend to trust the ones with three stars as they tend to provide a balanced assessment of the stay but I gotta say, Crosby House was a five star experience!!
This was our first B & B stay. Even though I missed the notes I had written down about it being a 4-6 check in, the gal was very kind (645). Everything was clean and we had an awesome deck overlooking the Columbia River. Only complaint is 30 steps up to our room. Day 9 of vacation? We are too fat and lazy, lol.
