Floor-to-ceiling windows, watch passing ships and glowing sunsets create a one-of-a-kind stay above the water. This 1,500 sq ft luxury suite features a king bed, fireplace, spa-style tile shower for two, jacuzzi tub for two, full kitchen & more. Sip coffee at sunrise or wine at sunset. Steps away outside are restaurants, cafés, shops, seafood and a wine room—experience Astoria at its best.

The Captain’s Suite offers unmatched, sweeping views over the Columbia River—front-row seats to passing ships, fishing boats, and playful sea lions. Antique freestanding binoculars invite you to take it all in from the comfort of your suite.

Located on historic Pier 39—built in 1875—this working waterfront is part of Astoria’s living history. Set along the Riverwalk Trail—where the river meets the rail—you’re steps from the scenic 6.3 mile Astoria Riverwalk path and the iconic riverfront trolley that you can ride from one end of Astoria to the other.

Enjoy everything the Pier has to offer at your feet! Step outside to explore a vibrant mix of local favorites, including a taphouse, Athena`s Greek Restaurant, Vineside Wine Bar & Tasting Room, gift shops, Coffee Girl, a barber, massage studio, fresh local seafood, and the Cannery Museum. Start your morning with coffee and breakfast from Coffee Girl, then unwind in the evening with a glass of chardonnay from the wine bar just steps away.

Inside, this spacious suite features a private bedroom with a king bed, a queen sleeper sofa in the living area, large flat-screen TV, gas fireplace, dining for six, and a fully stocked kitchen with gas range. A wet bar with wine cooler and rack makes it perfect for entertaining, while books and games add cozy touches for a relaxed stay. The spa-inspired bath includes a dual-head tile shower and a corner jacuzzi tub for two, plus an additional half bath. Enjoy locally roasted coffee, a variety of creamers, and tea.

A note on the setting: As part of a historic working pier, you may experience natural movement depending on tides and weather. Astoria’s coastal climate, rain, and waterfront activity—along with sea lions and nearby businesses—can bring occasional ambient noise. Many guests find this adds to the authentic charm of staying over the water on Astoria’s most iconic waterfront. For light sleepers or daytime rest, a white noise machine is provided in the bedroom.

We use what we call a *Boarding Pass* that is sent to you after booking to provide a easy guest experience. Boarding Pass contains all your check in information, smart lock codes, guidebooks and parking information. It is your all in one guide to our property.

We are required by state and local laws to collect guest information and a photo of your ID. This is easy to do in the Boarding Pass link we send you. You will need to sign a waiver/rental agreement to stay with us. If you disagree with our waiver/agreement cancel within 24 hours of booking or within the cancellation window to avoid cancellation fees.

We use a 3rd party to be in compliance with state and local laws for guest information and photo ID. Enso Connect is an official Verified Airbnb partner. Enso Connect is the only authorized third-party platform for digital guest experience solutions in the vacation rental space. All information is entered and handled by Enso Connect.

You have access to the Captain`s Suite, and all common areas on the Pier and outside. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am.
Limited on site parking but plenty of street parking. We have dedicated parking space, please only use your dedicated spot. Your dedicated parking spot in named `Captain`s` Extra vehicles have lots of room for parking on the pier in the public parking areas or refer to the PARKING GUIDEBOOK for more information.

No laundry room in unit but there is coin laundry on site. Extra bedding and sheets are available. Need more please send us a message and extra can be arranged.


** Outdoor cameras are on site in public locations. There never has been, is or will be cameras in private spaces.
There is NO SMOKING in the suites or anywhere on the pier. Smoking (of ANY KIND - Vape, Marijuana, Pipe, Cigar, Cigarette, Cloves) is absolutely PROHIBITED in the bathrooms, on the Pier and on the wooden bridge. This cannery is over 140 years old, made of wood. No Smoking signs can be found in each of the suites and all over the pier.

Pets are NOT ALLOWED in our suites.

We use a 3rd party for verification and to make your stay with us seamless and easy. Our Boarding Pass is your Guide to everything you will need for for your stay. A Signed Rental agreement and ID is required to stay with us and is located in your Boarding Pass. If you disagree with our rental agreement or ID policy you have 24 hours after booking to cancel for free. After 24 hours we abide by the cancellation policy set forth in Airbnb.

If smoke is detected in the unit you will be charged up to a $200 smoke mitigation cleaning fee.

Check Out is at 11am. Check outs later than 12:00pm will accure a $50 penalty for every 30 minutes you are late checking out. Unless it is agreed upon in advance or you take advantage of some of our late check out options in your boarding pass link we send you.
