Nous avons passé un agréable séjour

La maison est trÚs spacieuse et bien équipée. La piscine n'est pas utilisable en hiver mais elle est en bon état et grande. Nous recommandons cette location

TrĂšs belle maison avec une magnifique piscine

Ioanna et Herbert sont des loueurs trÚs agréables et toujours aux petits soins pour leurs invités. La maison est bien équipée et se situe à 30-45 minutes du centre d'AthÚnes dans un environnement calme. Les avions passent réguliÚrement au dessus de la maison mais on s'habitue vite. Il faut noter la présence d'un chien et d'un chat sur la propriété. Les propriétaires habitent au deuxiÚme étage mais se font trÚs discrets. A recommander sans hésiter.

Exceptional view from this hilltop villa.

We stayed here for the last 3 days, traveling in from the states while we waited for our sailing trip to begin and get adjusted to the time change (10 hrs). The home is comfortable and relaxing, we didn’t bring a car so we were able to take uber taxi into town for groceries and can even walk to the local Mythos Tavern to eat. Be warned that the roads to get up to the house are VERY steep but did not seem to be a problem for the taxi’s or the transport vehicles. The pool was perfect for the children (we brought 7 kids aged 7-15). We would definitely stay here again, and I can’t overstate how perfect the view is from the veranda.

Beautiful, spacious villa with amazing hosts!

Our family group (consisting of 6 adult couples, 2 adult singles) stayed for 4 nights at this gorgeous cliffside home, approximately 30 minutes from the airport. The villa is made up of separate apartments and we occupied the entire place. There is a lovely pool surrounded by beautiful grounds, with space for outdoor dining and cooking, two complete kitchens inside, one upstairs and one downstairs, and tons of space for a large group of people to spread out, inside or out. Loanna and the owner were extremely welcoming, and Loanna herself was an exceptional host, making helpful recommendations on the local surroundings, including a local beach bar, best route into Athens, and historic sites. She made it easy for us to navigate our new surroundings, which included exploring Athens and the Acropolis, visiting the Poseidon Temple and Lake Vouliagmeni. Loanna is also an incredible chef and we paid extra to have her prepare a special dinner during our stay. It was AMAZING! We loved our time at this villa and interacting with our hosts!

Nice house

The house was clean and nice! It worked fine for our group of 11 people! The views from the house are amazing and the close walk to the beach is good! The host Ioanna was very good and easy to contact with quick replies. Over all a very good visit!

bait-and-switch tactic was unacceptable - do not book this Villa

I recently had the misfortune of booking 'Athen Lagonisi Villa Ioanna' through Vrbo, and it turned out to be an absolute scam. Just 24 hours before our check-in, they informed us that the location and address of our villa had been changed, and we ended up at a place called Villa Horizon Heaven instead. With no other viable options at such short notice, we were left with no choice but to accept this abrupt change. Although Villa Horizon Heaven had the same pictures and was clean, the entire situation reeked of deception. The new location was 30 minutes away from what we had originally chosen, far less desirable and incredibly inconvenient. It was clear that we were misled and manipulated into staying at an entirely different property than what we had paid for. The lack of transparency and integrity shown by Vrbo was appalling. Their last-minute switch disrupted our entire trip, and their customer service was unhelpful and dismissive when we raised our concerns. The only solution their customer service provided was to offer to cancel, but merely 24 hours before arrival we had flights and itinerary booked. This bait-and-switch tactic is unacceptable, and I would strongly advise anyone considering renting through Vrbo to think twice. This experience was incredibly disappointing, and I would never book with them again.

An amazing and spacious house near Athens

As a group of 4 families we have spent 4 days here. The villa is ideally located, not far from the airport, beaches and Athens. There are plenty of markets and tavernas nearby. The house owners are very friendly and always ready to help.

Relaxing, fun and homely villa with great hosts

This was perfect for our three families as the villa is made up of three apartments, although we mainly socialised together in the main villa and outdoors. The pool area is gorgeous, the kids aged 2-11 spent hours in the pool, we loved the garden with mature plants which gave shade and the outdoor kitchen was fabulous for bbqing and eating together. The veranda was also a lovely place to hang out. We received a lovely welcome, Ioanna was very helpful before and during our stay and we got to taste her amazing Greek cooking and figs and grapes from the garden. The villa was well equipped for cooking and even had a mixer which came in handy for cocktail making. The kids loved that there was a dog around. What we really loved was that this villa feels like a home, sometimes arriving at a villa they can feel a bit empty - we felt at home instantly. We enjoyed a trip to the Voulagmenis Lake and the Temple of Poseidon and some of us did Athens before arriving at the villa. So close to the airport and lots of sandy beaches with shallow water great for kids - great for combining sightseeing and a beach/villa holiday.

An amazing house with a big pool and a welcoming atmosphere

Our experience of living at the Ilona Villa was unquestionabely wonderful! From the moment me and my other 14 friends arrived Ilona welcomed us into our home and gave us the grand tour. The house is absolutely amazing, even better than the pictures online and everything is in great condition with the style of the house conveying a traditional yet eclectic feel to it when you arrive. One minor disadvantage is that the owners do live on the second floor, of which we were at first slight hesitant about, but later realized that we hardly noticed or ever saw them at all during our stay. On the night of our arrival Ilona kindly offered to show us around the neighbourhood and took us to her favourite beach club with amazing music! We had an amazing time and greatly appreciated her kind gesture of showing us around the neighbourhood. Another aspect which you should take into consideration is the area which you will be staying at. The location is quite isolated from the busy city center and quite far from Athens. You definitely need to buy a rental car to get around. But this of course depends on your wishes and preferences for your ideal holiday when it comes to the location. Looking back at our time at the villa, my friends and I had an incredible time with the pool as our favourite hang out spot. It looks even bigger than on the pictures! We also enjoyed the company of their lovely dog Ali who would occasionally stroll around the garden ( not inside the house) and brought a smile to our faces. If you’re looking for a perfect getaway, filled with luxury and hospitable guest owners, then Villa Ilona will be the perfect place for you!

An oasis of calm and relaxation

I might have overstated the calm and relaxation because there were 17 members of our family all staying for a fortnight and we had a lot of fun but the Villa and grounds are beautifully relaxing. The villa is laid out into three apartments over two floors but we took the whole place. Luckily, the layout worked perfectly for us, with parents and children being able to have their own space as well as the communal areas upstairs and outside. I think you would struggle here if you didn't have a car but there are food shops, chemists, petrol station and a few tavernas within 5 minutes drive of the Villa. There are at least 6 beaches within a 15 minute drive. It's 7 minutes to the nearest beach and Mojito beach is a similar distance. That is lovely. If you feel adventurous, there are several beaches on the other side of the peninsular, 30 minutes or so away. We recommend Coco loco beach. We visited Athens of course. Drive to the station at Elleniko and it is a few stops to Akropoli. We went to the Temple of Poseidon and the amphitheatre 12 minutes away from that. We have travelled to many Greek islands and have always found Greek people to be friendly and welcoming. This was our first proper trip to the mainland and our experience was just as welcoming. The villa's owners, Ioanna and her husband live on the top floor of the villa. Whilst we rarely saw them during the days - they and their family came and went through the entrance on the other side of the property from the pool, they could not be more welcoming and Ioanna, bless her prepared a fantastic moussaka for us all when we arrived. We had to get the recipe. A few other points, the pool is just as lovely as it looks in the pictures and the garden was fab for our wildlife loving family. We saw praying mantis, dozens of butterflies, geckos and there is a Dragonfly who patrols the pool from time to time. There was also a family of Barn Swallows who visited the pool for drinks sporadically throughout the day. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend a visit.
