This location was great. It was about 20 minutes from Boardwalk Hall. The room was clean. the staff was very nice. Great location around several restaurants, grocery store, pharmacies and etc.

The lock on the room door didn't work and we couldn't get in, even the person working the front desk couldn't get in and had to call in a maintenance person. When we asked about getting a free night for our troubles the best they would do is give 25% off and that's PATHETIC considering it was a sunday going into monday and still charged basically full rate even with the 25% off. Don't stay there, pay a little more and be more comfortable and better served, they didn't even include a travel size soap in our bathroom was simply a PATHETIC experience. won't be coming back again wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Garden State Inn is great hotel especially if you request a non-smoking room. Nearly every other 1, 2, 3 star hotel/motel that offers a non-smoking room is in name only...they smell terrible and wreak of stale cigarette smoke everywhere. But, Garden State Inn non-smoking rooms have zero cigarette smell.

The bottom of the tub was weak & I felt like I was gonna fall through. Also the shower curtain wouldn't close all the way because the rod was bent & broken almost falling off the shower wall. The sink outside of the bathroom (small bar I guess) had no running water & the light over that sink did not work.
