We loved this little cottage! It's true that this isn't the kind of beach you can lay out and comfortably go swimming at, but we had a great time searching for shells, fishing, and wading through the water. If we had water shoes we probably would have gotten in more. It's also true that some residents and other visitors will come down the spur road occasionally, but we didnt have any issue with that, and it didnt happen an unreasonable amount of times so it still felt very private and secluded. We loved the abandoned buildings next to the property as it made it feel even more private for us, and if anyone thinks the house being overtaken by nature is ugly then I just feel sorry for you. Beautfiul views all around. We ordered groceries for pick-up in Beaufort on our way down, it was only about a half hour away. The only thing I will say is that if you plan on cooking A LOT like we did (we stayed 6 nights and cooked all but 3 meals) you might wanna bring a couple of your own pans and cooking utensils. You can tell the pans havent been taken very good care of by previous guests so it can be a challenge to work with them, but that's not the fault of the hosts. Appreciated all of the cookware/utensils they have there though and we made it work. We also tried both restaurants in town and they were both fantastic! Lastly, we really appreciate the hosts allowing us to bring our dog who greatly exceeds their weight limit as its very challenging to find places to bring him.He loved it!
