Hostels should provide 3 things : a bed, a bathroom, luggage storage. This hostel rents towels and simply doesn't provide any soap. I get they want to keep prices low but it isn't low if you have to purchase/rent every basic amenities. Not asking for toothbrushes or combs, just bodywash in the showers. You can buy a towel at the warehouse downstairs for a cheaper price they rent it. As for the bedroom, no ventilation whatsoever, it was more than 30° at night and they only provide a tiny fan for 10 beds. Not to mention no personal light nor power outlet next to each bed. Between the heat and the 2 guests making in their bunkbed, it wasn't possible to sleep. Only good thing about this place is the location
The new paint? and new carpet smells were very strong and I had a headache from the offgassing. Great kitchen- well stocked and great systems. The bunks are bunks- my top mate moved so much and shook my bed, I didn't sleep well for a couple of the nights I was there. Loved the recommendations they have all over. Excellent hostel.
The hostel was ok. The condition of facilities is slightly old and used. Kitchen is closed from 10AM till 12PM (not 10PM and 12AM) which is a bit weird. A late breakfast is only possible at 12pm again. Also, the toilets (only one shared bathroom each) get shut for cleaning at times, which is also a bit inconvenient
Great location but not my favorite hostel. Beds are uncomfortable and there are no lockers for your luggage. Additionally there are few/ inconvenient outlets to charge your phone. Would also appreciate a shelf near the bed to place personal items.
The team is certainly friendly, and all facilities are very clean.
I booked a twin room. Unfortunately there were strong cooking smells in the room.
Also: I know its a backpacker place, but the mattress & the pillow were very hard for my liking.
On the other hand: the shower was excellent!
The communal areas at Attic are great - thereâs a nice kitchen with sunny roof terrace and the bathrooms are good. I would have preferred to have towels provided in private rooms as most other hostels do (you can hire for $5). Our room was also very noisy at night from the sound of a generator outside. This isnât the hostelâs fault at all but the fan they provided to keep the room cool was also really noisy, so a quieter option would be helpful.
