Unfortunately I was bitten by bed bugs and I am disappointed that Sky City hotel doesn't employ better standards of cleanliness and hygiene for it's guests. It would make a person think twice about booking there in future.

This is a great place to stay! Walking distance to just about everything. You’re down at the ferry in about 10 minutes if you’re going to Waiheke or something. So much to do all around. It was comfortable and clean and really I have nothing negative to say about the whole deal. The casino is in the building, along with plenty of restaurants and live music. I didn’t even get a chance to experience everything. The Intercity bus terminal is basically in the same complex. So easy to bounce around New Zealand on that. Easy in and out. I did see an airport shuttle stop there as well. I took a taxi from the airport for $56 usd and it took about 35 minutes. I might even go back and stay there again on my way out of New Zealand!

Everything was good. Room clean and everything worked good. Only issue was on checkout and had asked about breakfast options. They suggested the buffet at the Grand, but they didnt offer or know about the buffet at the Horizon.
