We love that Waves Motel is just steps away from sandy beach of Orewa. Spacious motel with in-room spa. Motel 11 do had some issues with the spa plug n power switch which we had brought up to lady upon checkout. Will stay at Waves again as the location is great

Room condition was poor. Sheets had holes in them and curtains too and bath towels appeared dirty. Bath was stained/dirty, internal door had been wet and swollen. Mould on bathroom door and internal window. Overall it needs some general maintenance and a good deep clean. Would not consider it value for money.

room was immaculate. Everything looked almost new staff were very friendly and helpful when this motel was built It looks like no money was spared in making the fixtures, and the overall set up a replacement place to be. Definitely not your average motel. It may be a little further out from the town centre then some but well worth walking an extra few steps.

Super easy check-in. Plenty of parking. Very well maintained room. Convenient laundry facilities. Quiet but effective air conditioning. No view from Room 8, but an area outside the ranch slider where you can sit. Generously- sized bathroom and good hot water supply. Modern TV and free Netflix. Small kitchen area and limited equipment, but with so many cafes nearby eating out is the best option. Super close to the beach.
