The Hostel was conveniently located within the CBD and it was surprisingly clean and the staff were very kind and helpful considering it my first place to "land" on my arrival as an international student in Auckland.

Good news : Everything from here is a downhill walk. Everything was clean, modern, and in good repair. My first floor single on the all female floor was very cozy. Window opened. Desk top fan provided. No air conditioning. The first day my room was VERY hot when I returned because the summer sun was beating into my room. The weak link of the room were the curtains which did not completely block out the city lights. The only electrical outlet was behind the refrigerator. I wish the door into the community shower room door was secured with a keyfob like the front door was. The shower room had three large stalls and three sinks which were clean and modern.
