The host was welcoming. We had an issue with the combination, but we called the # giving to us and they got us taken care of. You needed a check mark after the code and it was not in the instructions. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable.
The place was very clean. I wouldâve really enjoyed my stay, but there was bad communication with the management team on how to get into the unit which was not marked and was behind a fence. I would rather not go behind peopleâs fence to look for a property. If Iâm not sure of what Iâm looking for. Even when talking to the management team, they cannot communicate where I was supposed to go. also, the air conditioner unit kept shutting off when I would leave. So when I came back to the house, it was somewhere around 80 inside and took a few hours for it to cool down which was a problem since I was staying for a week and I was working away from the house most of the time. when I spoke to the management team about this, they say it was set to drop the temperature when you left when I told them this is not what it was doing they acted confused and sent me more questions which does not help. I think if there was better communication, the whole experience wouldâve been better, but whoever I was dealing with, was not very good at communicating anything with means just wanted to ask more questions instead of solving problems or give me answers that werenât true
Not exactly sure where to begin with how bad our experience was here.First of all calling this an apartment is a complete stretch. This an extra building behind a primary residential home that is above a garage. There were no instructions telling us how to navigate the property. When we finally got inside the building we realized the AC had not been turned on. It was 105 degrees in Austin so the room above said garage was probably 120. We turned on the unit and it would only blow out room temperature air. It would have taken 8 hours to get the room cooled to a reasonable temperature. I was told by the contact on VRBO it was "standard practice" to keep the room at room temperature when the property isn't occupied. I then tried calling the contact for the listing the phone rang three times and she proceeded to text me. I asked if we could get a refund since the property was uninhabitable and was basically told I didn't give the AC unit enough time to cool. The most frustrating part is that I didn't check in until 5 PM Friday. It should be the bare minimum to turn on the AC if the unit takes significant time to cool. When we tried to get help or express our frustration the host made it seem like it was our fault and would not even consider a refund. Steer clear of this place at all cost!
Beautiful, clean, and quiet stay. The property was just as described, with plentiful street parking and a grocery store 5 minutes away. The host was friendly and available for questions. I would absolutely stay there again!
