This 3 star Holiday Inn is well located for the university across the FM 620 in north Austin. It's not far to drive to the Oasis on the western shore of lake Travis (approx 5 miles) although it is around 15 miles drive to the center of Austin and to Lakeway resort. Rooms are well equipped with 2 phones (free local calls included) and free Wi-Fi connection. Guest rooms had a decent quality king bed, microwave, fridge, coffee machine and good size en-suite bathroom with shower gel, shampoo and all other necessary bathroom items included. There's a desktop PC and B&W printer in the lobby, although the print quality is low. Free morning papers included and a very good breakfast selection! Staff are friendly and very helpful. The only downside during my stay was that the spa pool was not working (no air bubbles) - and the outdoor pool is NOT heated - consequently nobody swam in it! You would really need a wet suit for that. The fitness suite is small but has enough items to keep fit during a two week stay.
