From the moment we booked u til we left the hosts were welcoming, helpful and kind! The house and the grounds are gorgeous and well kept. Every detail has been thought of, including a gourmet kitchen, a sound system that plays throughout the entire house and a gorgeous sunset every evening. We will be back!

This place is really great! It's spacious, beautifully appointed, and modern. There are several Tv's, music speakers, and lake views everywhere. We were there 4 nights and had four amazing sunsets, off the deck! It's quiet and peaceful. The pool is great, the grassy area for your pets, very nice. The owners are easily accessible and attentive. We'd definitely will come here again, and tell our friends!

Lovely place. Great views, The owners, had snacks available and coffee at check in. The Salt water pool was nice and had pool toys available. We even held a Golden Tee championship. Looking forward to our next stay.

The perfect getaway - your search is over. Book now!

This home is truly a gem! The views of the rolling hills and the beautiful water are absolutely breathtaking and so peaceful that you can hear the birds chirping as you sip your morning coffee on the balcony. I was able to use the office to get some work done. My kids had a blast swimming in the pool while the adults relaxed in the hot tub, taking in the serenity.The house itself is clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained which is ideal for a family vacation or a quiet escape with friends. I loved the thoughtful touch of chips and salsa and a couple water bottles upon check in. After a long car ride that was perfect to hold us over until we got groceries from HEB not far away. We also enjoyed having frozen yogurt at Menchies- also nearby. You couldn’t ask for a better host. Communication was excellent and check-in was seamless. Everything was easy and stress-free from start to finish. Oh and I can’t forget to thank the hosts for being pet friendly. We won’t travel without our four legged friends. We can’t wait to return. This was the perfect escape in every way!

Early summer vaca

We needed an early summer vacation before our college student went back for summer classes and the sunset house didn’t disappoint! Everything was so clean and smelled so good. Loved the little touches left by the hosts, especially the chips and salsa! After a 3.5 hour drive, it was the perfect snack. The view is gorgeous!! We enjoyed the pool and hot tub every day, had lunch at the Oasis restaurant, and explored the Inner Space Caverns! Will definitely book again!

Family Get Away

We had the best time at the Sunset House!! The house is fabulous and the views are incredible! We had so much fun! We especially loved the hot tub, the pool and The Golden Tee Golf game. Being able to bring out dogs was a huge bonus. Josh and Natalie were amazing to work with. They really went out of their way to make sure we had a great trip. I would definitely stay here again!

I’m so glad I got to stay at this house! The pool and hot tub were perfect nestled in a quiet hill overlooking the lake. We had access to the city’s excitements but the house was such a peaceful getaway. 100% would book again.

Beautiful home

We loved our stay at The Sunset House! It’s beautiful, clean, well-appointed, and had great amenities for our family group of 18yo and our dog. The weather was lovely, so we enjoyed the two outdoor patios for grilling, eating, and lounging, as well as the outdoor spa and deck chairs. The fenced, grassy yard area was convenient for our medium-sized dog. We also enjoyed the Golden Tee and arcade games, as well as the provided inflatable standup paddleboards. The location is convenient to a dog park, grocery, and restaurants. We would definitely visit again!

Wonderful getaway

The views were beautiful and stunning at sunset, thus the house is named the sunset house. The house was immaculate, beautifully furnished, and provisions in the kitchen were very good. Although the lake was down to nothing, we didn’t really care because the pool and hot tub or lovely and we spent a lot of time enjoying those and the view from the deck. The owners were wonderful and very responsive for any request we had. I would definitely return to this house and we are thinking of returning next September.

An Amazing Experience

We throughly enjoyed this home! Josh and Natalie were gracious hosts and provided everything, from easy check-in process, welcome goodies, things to do, etc. Our fur babies enjoyed the soft green grass while we relaxed in the pool, hot tub, and sofa lounge. This property was great! Communication was above and beyond, House was very well stocked and the location was beautiful. Lake was a bit of a workout to get to but a beautiful, quieter area which was great for paddle boarding when we were there. Would definitely stay again!

Great Hosts and Outstanding Property

I only review our good stays and stay silent on the bad, but am rethinking my policy because this place really does deserve the highest rating. All my other reviews should be 4 stars, because this stay was one of the best. We were in town for the eclipse and the hosts had eclipse themed snacks laid out for us - from Moon Pies to Eclipse gum and much more. Checkin and follow-up communications were great. The house was spectacular and provided everything we needed for a great stay. Exactly as advertised. We will definitely be back. One of the nicest pet friendly houses we’ve found. Thanks to the hosts for their thoughtfulness and attentiveness!
