This was a great house that had plenty of room for all our guests. We were celebrating our daughter's wedding, so our immediate family and most of the bridal party stayed here. There was plenty of space to accomadate everyone for eating, sleeping, and getting ready for the wedding
We had a small family group staying in the home for the weekend for a graduation and Motherâs Day. We found the house not very clean, noticing stains on the walls and the bedding and towels were worn. The kitchen had many pots and pans but all were very aged and many had Teflon chipping from them so they were unsafe to use. We could only find 1 usable pan to cook with. The coffee machine was not clean when we went to use it and it was an old machine that leaked. There was barely enough dishwashing soap to manage our first round of dishes, no scrub brush to hand wash them and few kitchen towels. The blankets and towels were sparse and needed ones were not found until the end of our weekend as they were not located well or within view to know about them. When stripping the beds for clean up we were very disturbed to see all the stains on the mattresses and pillows. There were several broken pieces of outdoor furniture so we were not able to use those for safety concerns.Barstools were also very unstable. There was construction directly across from the home which you overlook towards the lake view, would have been kind to let us know in advance or in the listing to allow us to consider. Because it was the weekend, no work was going on but if during the week I am sure it would be congested with cars/trucks and noisy.Sad to leave a poor review but this home was an expensive rental in what looks like a nice area and it just did not fit the cost of rental.
We chose this property for its proximity to the UT Golf Club. While the guys played golf, the ladies spent the day lounging by the pool. Overall this property is very comfortable for large groups and is located very close to great restaurants.
Great location, very responsive host, and great communication!
I went to school in Austin and never really got to experience Lake Travis like I did here.
