Decent hotel but needs update.

Great location for beach and town. Room was a little basic and bathroom could do with an update. Breakfast was very good with friendly staff although have to pay extra to get a machine coffee! There is no parking on site although you get 5 hours free (within certain hours) at the adjacent car parks which are just next door.

The staff at Horizon Hotel made our stay exceptional. Everyone we interacted with was so pleasant and professional. Our room was great, only complaint was pillows were very uncomfortable. Minor in the overall quality of our experience! Would definitely book here again.

Overnight stay in Ayr

Overnight stay with our 2 grandchildren. Warm welcome. Room was on 2nd floor and lift only went up to 1st. Room was tidy but bathroom not the best with dated shower area and unfortunately the shower head was broken . Breakfast was delightful which we all enjoyed.

Overall the room needs an upgrade. No control over the heating in the room. Carpet, old shower curtain all look pretty disgusting. Had a nightmare with a loud ill mannered neighbour who had her TV blaring then a loud speaker phone call between 11am and 1pm. She slammed doors and overall had a stinking attitude. Night porter was very good but other than that everything is very average and I have stayed here 5 or 6 times before.
