I summered on these islands as a child 60+ years ago and wondered how they would be now. The islands feel the same as they did all those years ago. The crib stone bridge still stands strong (my grandfather was the 2nd car to drive over it in 1928). Lands End still sits at the farthest point of land and offers all the memories you could want. And Cooks still sells fresh lobster and seafood with a stunning view. The cottage was beyond our expectations, we spent hours on the deck watching the ocean as it ebbed and flowed through the tides. The cottage was updated and so comfortable from the furniture and beds to the well stocked kitchen. We felt a little sad leaving Bailey's but know we will return someday and it will remain the quintessential Maine Island I loved as a child.
Beautiful location, charming cabin AMAZING view
Quick response from property management
Extra charge for linens
Beds are unmade when you arrive
Very flat, poor quality pillows
Cabin was stocked with one partial roll of toilet paper and no store on Island had TP
With the negatives I would still highly recommend, great location
