Our time in Bala was brilliant and the White Lion Royal Hotel was wonderful. Chris greeted us and immediately helped us with a flat tire situation. Jenene served us two delicious meals from their cafe. This 600 year old historic hotel is cared for well. Our bathroom was updated and the bed was very comfortable. Five stars all around!
All signage is in English and Welsh.

I arrived from London on the motorcycle and had a warm welcome with a lovely comfortable bed and a very good bathroom with a top class shower. Sadly I arrived too late for their delicious menu as the kitchen closes early on Sunday. But I will be back very soon as I have moved near Chester and Bala is only miles away. Highly recommended. Good Hotel and restaurant

Large historical building. Friendly, efficient service. Large bedroom, clean, but didn't sleep because room was so uncomfortably hot! Radiators off and fan provided which had on all night which was noisy but couldnt understand why so hot. Slept on top of covers as so hot. However, breakfast lovely and evening meal was exceptional. Convenient, good parking at back and good atmosphere. Would stay again but different room. Not room 108. It was a rainy day so couldnt imagine if a hot day. I think they would have accommodated us if we had told staff but we only stayed for one night after moving daughter into university.

Very good.

Very tidy quiet room, comfortable and well equipped. Good shower and plenty of pressure. Breakfast was pretty good too. Value for money. Would stay again if we were in the area.
