It was good. There wasn’t enough silverware for 4. We had to keep washing those by hand. There was a lot of mildew/ black mold downstairs. Accumulation of spider webs and spiders downstairs. The carts were good. It was nicely decorated. Surprised there were no tvs in the guest bedrooms.

Amazing location

This was our first time to BHI and absolutely loved it! The location of Washashore is perfect in that it is right across from the beach and mid island so close to the market / coffee shop etc. something we did not appreciate when we booked it. ITrip, the management company, was extremely responsive for the handful of questions we had and the house was great. In particular the thoughtful layout and large shaded deck were standouts.

Good location, no bathrooms, or shower outside of the bedrooms

Well stocked, good location. Sleeps 8 if you have a couple with six kids or two couples and four kids, etc.— but there are three bedrooms— and each bedroom requires sharing beds. If anyone sleeps on the couch at night, there is no bathroom for them. They have to go into a bedroom and use it. Same goes for the shower.We had one adult and three of my kids who brought a friend each-one brought two friends. Three boys in one room, two boys in another room, and two girls in a room, which means Dad gets the couch, which is fine but again there’s no bathroom without headed into a bedroom. Fine when traveling with kids but if you’re going for a guys trip or a girls trip I wouldn’t recommend it unless you want to share a bed with someone.

First VRBO home I didn’t want to leave

First VRBO I didn’t want to leave. House was perfect for a family of 4. Had room for 4 more. House was very clean and basically brand new interior. Kitchen was fully equipped with new appliances, including washer and dryer. No need to bring tubs of groceries or etc.. we ordered groceries delivered from maritime market before our arrival. 2 min walk to beach (or 4 houses down). We were visiting with 3 families 4 doors down . Location was perfect near grocery and shopping. Literally middle of island location. 2 golf carts were fully charged and functional. Both in good shape. We highly recommend this home.

Perfect BHI Vacation at Washashore!

Best ocean view on South Beach

Great location and easy access to the beach - gorgeous views and sunsets. Very clean, with comfortable living and sleeping areas. Gas stovetop, double ovens, and propane gas grill made cooking user friendly and enjoyable. Dishwasher could be updated and 2nd outside trash can should be added. Excellent communication with ITrip staff.

Beachfront getaway

Being a beachfront property some of the roads had flooded the week before during a storm that dumped 20 inches of rain on Southport . Greg, from iTripNC, made sure we got to the house since the trams were not working . It is a bright sunny house and the sunsets were lovely . Bedrooms are spacious . Kitchen well equipped. We wish there had been instructions for working the TV but a relaxing ,comfortable spot .

Charming house, great location!

We come to Bald Head every summer, and this year we decided to extend our stay and got lucky finding this cottage at the last minute. The cottage is super sunny, and central to almost everything on the island including the Market, BHI Club, and close to East Beach! The spacious kitchen was well stocked with all of the essentials, and the house has amazing views of the ocean from most of the rooms. Also the property management company was super-responsive. We had an issue with one of the golf carts and they took care of it proactively and kept us in the loop while it was quickly repaired. We’d stay here again.

Amazing and exactly as described!

We love this house so much! The entire front and sides are covered with big windows, so it’s a view everywhere you look. Great accommodations, very clean, easy access to anything you need on the island. It’s only a 5 minute golf cart ride to shops. Perfect vacation!

Best house!

The house was wonderful! Perfect! My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary so it was just the two of us - there was a lot of extra room so I hope to come back with my family! It was close to the beach access and a great spot to watch the sunset. The house had everything you could want and was clean and well kept. The iTrips folks were extremely responsive and accomodating! I would love to stay there again!

Wonderful views!

We loved the wall of windows to the south and east and the decks on those sides as well. Very comfortable lodgings with fully equipped kitchen and wonderful location right on the beach. We saw the full moon rise and the sun set at the same time. Golf carts worked fine. All in all a very comfortable stay.

The Washashore is a perfectly located home . It is well laid out and was the perfect size for two couples and kids. South beach at sunset is gorgeous ! It was great that we had the option to “Belong” to the beach club for the week.. we enjoyed our stay!

Fantastic panoramic view of South Beach

Excellent location with a fantastic panoramic view of South Beach. The beach is massive and never crowded. Open floor plan all on one level is comfortable and outside shower was a hit. Central location makes for short golf cart trips to the marina, market or East Beach. Cycling on the island is a favorite. Support from iTrip staff was always prompt.

Bald Head Island beach stay

The house needs some appliance work, and new battery chargers for the golf carts. Housekeeping left the dining table dirty (crumbs and stuff on the table), and the coffee pot wasn't clean. There's an electric outlet in one bedroom with no cover.....exposed to little hands.The washing machine ruined 2 clothing items with something looking like grease. I brought that to the manager's attention and they just said they would check it. No offer to clean or repair the ruined items. The washer makes a lot of noise and seemed to have gasket or belt problems (noise when spinning). But, all said, I would return with some adjustments due to the lost garments. Great view, close to the beach.

Great spot

We had a great stay at this property overlooking the dunes and ocean. The living space, kitchen, and bedrooms all appeared relatively new, as did one of the bathrooms. The property managers were very responsive, including to an issue we had with the speed gauge/regulator on one of the golf carts.
