A lovely traditional Irish farmhouse, very similar to the family farmhouse of my wife’s late mother in North Co Cork. Everything was clean and tidy, and there were a few treats when we arrived (including buns!). I met a member of the family working on the farm, a nice friendly man. The layout of the house is a bit unusual (it’s a long way from the kitchen to a small dining room), I guess it has been altered at some point. The bedrooms are huge! The electric shower upstairs has very low pressure, so we used the normal shower downstairs instead. You need to switch on the immersion heater for this, and there’s no timer so don’t forget to switch it off.
