So thankful the owner was able to increase the amount of visitors from 3-5 when my groomsmen all decided to room together. They had a blast and truly enjoyed their stay. Thank you!
Owner lives on site with a common hallway. Listed as having 2 bathrooms, one is located in the common hallway, and it had an overwhelming smell of cat urine. Kitchen whasa major ant problem
The house was lovely. Beautiful, well-cared for garden. The house is spacious and cozy. The host was absolutely wonderful. The area was beautiful and charming.
Mary greeted us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the property and any instructions we needed to know and she was very sweet and inviting. The property itself is beautifully landscaped, clean, and quiet. There's a park nearby with a waterfall which blocks out the sounds of surrounding traffic. The bed is very comforable and gave my spouse and I a wonderful night of rest. Overall we would happily stay here again.
Mary was an amazing host along with her dog Frankie who was a joy to get to meet! It was the perfect place to enjoy a cousin weekend vacation. I look forward to future visits as seeing how the gardens grow over time.
Mary's place is very nice, homey and in a pretty neighborhood. She has a cottage behind the property & is around & ready to help out. We had a very short but lovely stay.
The house is a gem. Very unique older home. Very comfortable and welcoming. Renovations are almost complete. The house is pet friendly. The location is perfect if you enjoy hiking trails, friendly neighbors and a view of the falls.
Mary was a very gracious host and very accommodating when we added a 6th person at the last minute. She was always very responsive when I messaged her and greeted us with a warm welcome when we arrived. The house is a beautiful historic home tucked away in quiet neighborhood
We needed a getaway near Baltimore so we could visit some family and attractions. The location was easy to navigate to and is nestled in a historic village. We enjoyed the ambiance of the house and the host made sure we were comfortable. We highly recommend this stay to anyone who enjoys a unique and quiet getaway. We particularly enjoyed listening to the nearby waterfall from the upstairs balcony. The house was clean and stocked with necessities. We would love to return as we found many places in nearby Catonville that we would like to come back to someday soon. The host was great with communication and made us feel welcome.
The host was extremely friendly, meeting us inside and walking us through every aspect of the house. The home was charming, tidy, and full of lovely details. The beds were quite comfortable -- one bedroom is on the first floor and two others are upstairs. The host lives in an attached cabin, so was available to answer any questions or address any needs.
What a lovely home, hidden away in the woods. The neighborhood is filled with older homes. You'd never guess you were 20 minutes from downtown Baltimore. The host was lovely and very responsive. We will absolutely be back.
Upon arrival at the property, we were immediately struck by the vivacious energy of the garden. When we walked into the house, it was apparent the same love & care had extended into the home. The decor was wonderful to look at, and our entire experience was relaxing & rejuvenating. This was especially meaningful to us as we brought along 2 dogs (1 who is more vocal and reactive) and our concert tickets had cancelled as soon as we arrived from our travels. Mary was incredibly accommodating and thoughtful in showing us the house, providing recommendations, and reduced some of our own worries about our dogâs tendency to bark. Mary even laid out some pee-pads for our doggies! Mary was never far if we had any questions (lives in guest cottage that is connected to back of house), but we never felt a lack of privacy or intrusion. We would recommend this place to anyone coming to visit Baltimore, and will surely be back! :)
Weâd give the location especially a 14/10 if we couldâ Dickeyville is such a charming area and beautiful! Safety was never a concern. Even the neighbors were friendly! The pictures do not do the home justice, itâs gorgeous. Especially in the morning when the light fills the roomsâ stunning!
Last thing first - I would recommend and would stay again.
Had a nice weekend stay that was far superior to a hotel stay at a comparable cost. Our dog was welcomed, and the park and falls (can hear the falls from the upper patio, very nice) provided a great place to walk. 3 beds and two baths provided plenty of space, kitchen had pans and spices and olive oil, and gardens were wonderfully kept. Mary was a gracious host and answered our questions when we had them. The neighborhood is full of 100-200 year old stone houses with plenty of history, and a very friendly vibe to the area. Great stay!
