The “regular” rooms have zero views. First room I had had a window with view on a roof and AC units. Second room had a view to a wall 4 ft away. The smell entering the room was musky. Hallway and room ceilings are low. Pipe sounds are loud and you can hear people in the hallway. Pictures online are very deceiving. The look and feel of the lobby is not what you will get in your room. Parking was great though.

Room was small, bathroom was very small with the door open we could not get to the toilet. There was past guests black hair up the wall in the shower. pillows were very high. For the price and the advised new renovations, not as expected.

Can't beat the location. The lobby is very modern, and the rooms are a little dated, but it was spacious and comfortable. Limited parking for oversized vehicles so if you have a truck then call ahead. Would definitely stay here again.

This was our second stay at The Elk & Avenue, having visited first in October 2023. We really enjoy this hotel. The staff are terrific, the hotel is attractive & comfortable. We've eaten in the restaurant quite a few times, and the food & service are great. Our room was spacious and we loved the mountain views! The beds are very comfy. The location of the hotel couldn't be better, as it's smack dab in the middle of town, and everything is just a short walk away. All in all, a really pleasant place to stay while you enjoy the beautiful park! We highly recommend this hotel!

The staff at the Hotel are amazing, we only stay at the Elk and Ave. Any time we stay in Banff , The hotel is a great location but the staff make it an over the top hotel . I have to thank the entire staff for the way they make us feel welcome

Great location and friendly staff The hotel is convenient for those who want easy access to the main shopping areas and restaurants in Banff. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, always willing to help. My only small concern is that it can get a bit noisy between rooms at times — so if you’re a light sleeper, you might want to keep that in mind. Overall, a great stay and excellent value for the location.
