We arrived around midnight to the heater not working in the unit. After reaching out to Vacasa customer service to lodge a maintenance request the host was quick to respond within half an hour. They immediately offered alternative solutions to staying in the unit. Unfortunately, none of them were workable for us that evening. There was an electric fireplace that we left on all night and space heaters in the unit that we utilized for an hour before going to bed and I got out of bed about an hour before getting up for the day and turned the space heaters back on, which made it more bearable. The next morning communication with the host resumed. They were quick to respond again and offered us another unit that had become available that day in the Sugar Mountain resort. Both places were clean and well kept and stocked with dishes, and pots and pans and cups and extra blankets. host offered to refund the trip without prompting due to the inconvenience and followed through on the offer. I would absolutely book with this host again. Stop at Sugar Mountain resort as always was super friendly and shuttles to and from the parking lots were quick. We really love going to Sugartop Mountain condos.
The beds were pretty uncomfortable and the kitchen appliances were outdated (coffee maker was completely unusable). We used to stay at Sugartop multiple times per year, so it was nice being back for the first time in over 5 years, but this particular condo could use some updating.
10 digit lock combo was nearly impossible to use, was able to get keys from the front desk.Condo needs a complete update, carpet is worn, furniture is old and cushions sags, the remote for the TV in one bedroom didn't work. Overall ok but wouldn't stay there again.
The unit is ok. It needs updating and a refresh. The sofa and recliners are very old. The kitchen and bathrooms need repairs and paint. The bed in the master was comfortable. The tvs are tiny. The kitchen is ok, basic offerings. The shower is great if you are under 5'5. The building is a mix of vacationers and owners. As a vacationer we were made to feel like we were not wanted there. From workers to owners all very odd. Just know this if you do rent in this building. The location is central to boone and blowimg rock.
There were no instructions on what to do when you leave. My friends had a different unit that did have instructions so I just followed theirs. The sliding door made a loud whistle all night due to the wind. The fireplace also squeaked the whole night but was not as loud as the sliding door. Pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance. From the parking lot you can walk to Omaâs to ski down. That was the best part of this condo. The most painful aspect was no parking at the top. Guests canât park at the top or walk to or from the top to the parking lot. The shuttle from the lobby to the parking lots was fast but only available starting at 7am. Dealing with a shuttle (SUV) when you have ski equipment was another struggle.
We really enjoyed our stay. Woukâs not stay in this unit again, but the complex is undergoing significant positive changes. We are considering purchasing a u it there after touring properties for sale there. David Holden, our agent, showed us those units for sale There were others we wanted to see but they were booked for the weekend.
I rented a property that is managed by Vacasa. I listed Wi-Fi as an amenity. Wi-Fi is a must have. When we checked in we learned that Wi-Fi was not available in our unit but in the lobby. Our unit was on the 7th floor. That is absolutely not acceptable.
Other issues: no toilet paper in 1 bathroom. No paper towels in the kitchen. No Kleenex anywhere. Unclean kitchen sink. Mold in the kitchen cabinet. Poorly stocked kitchen. No pan to cook in. No spoon to cook with. I have photos of the dirty kitchen sink and mold in cabinet.
