We had an excellent stay at Husky Hideaway. The location was quiet and peaceful yet a short drive to downtown Banner Elk. The cabin was modern and comfortable.
What a sweet little cabin! Perfect for my husband and I to get some r and r. The cabin was very comfortable and clean and the area is so peaceful. Also, it is so nice to find a place that allows us to travel with our dog! She loves the mountains.
It was extremely relaxing and the weather was cool and refreshing! The porch with the rocking chairs was the best! There were many activities to do like the Alpine Coaster and Skylift Chair ride at Beech Mountain. Also Grandfather Winery was fun. Saw lots of animals- deer, rabbits and birds. The home was very comfortable and perfect size for the two of us and our mini poodle loved it too!
This property was clean and comfortable and I loved being able to sit on the covered porch, even when it was raining. This was the ideal home base for day hiking around Grandfather mountain, Linville gorge, and Carvers Gap/Roan Mountain.
This place was great for the two of us and the pup. Amazing views and a family of deer every morning. Definitely need 4x4 in the winter just incase. Only thing that was a negative was the outside heaters and grill didn't have any gas but not a big deal when it was under 15 in the daytime lol.
Cabin is just as described, easy to find and super clean. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the deck with beautiful views. The only issue was not receiving the gate code before we arrived, and not receiving a timely response from the host. Overall we look forward to staying here again.
Husky Hideaway was the perfect spot for us to spend our girls getaway. We spent the morning sipping coffee in the rocking chairs enjoying the Mountain View and afternoons in the same spot with wine and cheese. It was the perfect location for hiking, restaurants and shopping. Weâll definitely be back!
We loved our dog friendly stay at Husky Hideaway! We brought our 2 dogs for their first ever vacation. The back deck is where we spent most of our time. The pups loved running around the deck and people/deer watching. We met the next door neighbors who live there full time and they were extremely friendly. The neighborhood has 8 houses and is the perfect size for a quiet retreat. You do hear road noise from the âhighwayâ but honestly you will hear that from any house whether you are close or far up from it because the sound travels in the mountains. It did not bother us. We only wish the kitchen had some counter space as we like to stay in and cook on our trips but the pictures are very accurate and we ended up grilling most of our meals as the weather was perfect during our stay. This is a very dog/kid friendly home and we hope to visit again. We wanted to extend our stay however the cabin was booked for the same day we were scheduled to leave so we ended up booking the cabin up the driveway for 2 more days to see a little snow. The neighborhood is not directly in The Lodges of Eagles Nest but just a short drive away and after driving through the big part of that neighborhood I would say I much preferred our little âFish Campâ over the huge homes with endless winding roads in the main part of Eagles Nest. You are close to downtown Banner Elk (great dog store btw) and there is a Food Lion and Ingles not too far away. Thanks for hosting us!
Location was nice and private. Great cabin for 2 people for the weekend. Kitchen is a bit small, would be nice to have something to place over the sink for more countertop space. But we still made it work in the small space. Loved the cabin overall, no issues.
The Husky Hideaway offers a very convenient location and private surroundings. The home is beautifully decorated and cozy. We loved that it was pet friendly and our dogs enjoyed their vacation as much as we did! We will definitely plan to come back!
This is a perfect 2-person getaway. Easy access, nice bed, nice shower, great porch to sit and enjoy deer walking by. Manager was attentive to our needs.
We had a lovely weekend staying at the Husky Hideaway. The house was clean, close to downtown banner elk and various activities. Our girls loved the loft and it was the perfect fit for our weekend getaway as a family. We even had some luck fly fishing the elk river which is right by the property, bonus! Really enjoyed and highly recommend!
Great cabin, quiet and peaceful.. easy check-in and was a perfect getaway for our anniversary..my pups zozo and puppup enjoyed their stay too.. its nice to have a great cozy cabin that accommodates our fur babies â€ïž
I couldnât recommend this property enough. It is really close to downtown Banner Elk. It was very easy to go explore Sugar Mountain, hike on Beech Mountain, and go to Grandfather Mountain with a quick drive. The kitchen was hard to cook in because there is no counters so we only made breakfast in the cabins and then packed lunches and ate dinner out at all the restaurants that are close. I hope to be back again!
Cabin was very clean with great amenities. Conveniently located to restaurants, stores and hiking but secluded enough to enjoy quiet relaxation time. Would definitely book again!
We were thrilled with this property. The warmth of the home, the deck, and the peace and quiet. It is wonderful to find a house that allows pets. The location is perfect. Banner Elk has some great restaurants. Sugar Mountain was fun. The tubing at Hawks Nest was fun. We would love to get back to the area in the summertime.
