Long Weekend at Pie in the Sky

This was one of our more enjoyable stays we've had with a VRBO listing. We planned a long weekend over the holiday to come to the mountains to ski and snow tube. The location was outstanding, as Hawksnest Snow Tubing was less than a mile away. We had a quick issue getting in and the owners contacted us within minutes to resolve! All check-out instructions were not only easy but convenient based on how they have the property designed, everything was properly labeled and easy to find. Our next time in the Boone / Banner Elk area we will definitely seek out staying at Pie in the Sky again. Oh - and this doesn't even begin to mention the sunset views out all the windows. Absolutely stunning!

Great views!

My fiancée and I enjoyed our stay very much. We were fortunate to visit at peak Fall color and the views were wonderful. The hot tub and fire pit were great places to unwind after long days on the trails. Highly recommended!

Weekend in Boone

We rented this cabin as the third stop on a week across the mountains, and it was a perfect end to a great week. The home itself is both tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We chose it because the style appealed to us, but we also picked this rental because of the amazing view. It didn't disappoint. We needed to adjust our plans a little bit because of the weather, but we enjoyed quality family time playing games and talking with the backdrop of the Appalachian Mountains through the windows. Communication with the host was easy and quick. If you're looking for a place with a scenic view within easy driving distance of Boone, Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk, this is a great choice.

Completely updated house, super clean with Amazing mountain views

We really enjoyed our time at Pie in the Sky! They did an amazing job modernizing the house, keeping it super clean, and made sure to include everything we needed. The sunrise can't be beat and the back deck is perfect for star gazing at night. While the neighboring houses were quite close the neighborhood was very quite and just perfect for our short trip to seven devils!

Gorgeous views and cozy home

It’s a breathtaking view from on top of Seven Devils! The vintage roundhouse has been updated with a modern flair and is cozy and comfortable. We had a problem with the door code (it was not what we were told it would be). But the hosts let us in remotely and quickly squared up the issue. The location was perfect for us to go between events and activities in Banner Elk, Boone, and Valle Crucis.

Super cute & spectacular views!!!!

Recently stayed here for Labor Day weekend with my husband and our two teenage sons while visiting our daughter at App State (and attending the football game). House was really one of our favorites we’ve stayed over the past two years! It was well organized and perfect for the four of us! Even my husband enjoyed the quirky layout of a roundhouse! Communication was efficient and we had no issues during our stay. The location was easy to find as well! The views were absolutely breathtaking
especially when the sun is just peeking out in the morning. We will definitely stay here again in the future!!! Thank you!!!

A breath of fresh air!

Our family loved “Pie in the Sky”! Beautiful renovations, clean, fresh and comfortable. The views were amazing and I accidentally caught my first sunrise - I was overtaken by its beauty. Our three year old and nine year old loved the downstairs living area with bunk beds and they enjoyed the outdoor deck area as much as we did. We explored the area, visited Appalachian State, Tweetsie Railroad, went Gem mining up the road at Sugar Creek (great place, great amount of good sized gems and our kids loved it). We stumbled upon an arts festival in beautiful Banner Elk and drove a very windy road to Valle Crucis and enjoyed the Mass General store and large playground/park area. We ended our trip with Fourth of July fireworks in Boone! Wonderful trip with gorgeous views in a stunning property in Seven Devils. I love visiting the mountains and taking a breath of the fresh mountain air!

The perfect getaway!

Pie in the Sky is a cozy and beautiful retreat. The decor is lovely and the kitchen has everything you need! The view from the deck is absolutely breathtaking! I would recommend this property to all of my friends and family! The owners were very accommodating and responded so quickly to any questions that we had!

Perfect Spring Break family vacay at Pie in the Sky

This was a little piece of heaven. Our stay was incredible and Corienne made it so easy to check-in and the accommodations were perfect. My kids (8 and 10) said Banner Elk was one of this fav vacations. Gem mining, skiing at Sugar Mtn, Grandfather Mtn winery, alpine roller coaster, valle crusis and mast general store, app state and the stores on king street. The list goes on and on. I highly recommend Pie in the Sky for your next romantic getaway or family vacay. :-)

Excellent Trip

We had a great time at 'Pie in the Sky!" The house was nicely remodeled with well stocked kitchen. Electronics / technology was up-to-date and sheets / towels were clean with plenty to use. Corrine was excellent in terms of communication. Thanks for a great time!

A truly incredible experience!

Corinne & Josh were the perfect hosts! Communication was great. The views were out of this world. The furnishings and decor framed the mountain views perfectly. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook all of our meals. The location can't be beat. It is perfectly located in the middle of every where we wanted to go. There were several nice touches including USB ports in the bedrooms for easy charging, google assistant so we didn't have to lift a finger to control the lighting and we loved the electronic fireplace. Thanks again for hosting us! We will be back.
