Very well located in the heart of the city.

The hotel was good and the room was clean and comfortable with a good shower. The only negative was that the Internet did not work very well from the room.

Downtown Barcelona

We took the aero bus at the airport to get to downtown Barcelona. We got off at the last stop called Plaza Cataluna. The hotel is located at less than a five minute walk to this place. Very convenient. We were visiting a friend who lives in Barcelona. Everyday we walked to her place to get together with her. A twenty minutes walk that took us through the center of Barcelona. This was very interesting. From our room we could see the Familia Sagrada. The location of the hotel was a good choice. The room was clean and the staff very friendly. I would not hesitate to go back there and to recommend it.

Not a four star. Not even a three star.

I was very in satisfied with the stay here. To the point where I felt it necessary to write a review to warn others. This is NOT a four star hotel. It's a two star at best. For its price there are way better options. The beds are stiff and roll around when you move on them. The accommodations are out dated. The sink was not working properly. We had to call to the front desk three to four times in a week to get more toilet paper or soap, disputed having rooms cleaned daily. I would recommend this hotel to an enemy or bitter rival, otherwise there are much better option in the area.

Great location for Barcelona city centre

The hotel location is perfect for access to all tourist attractions, and I would recommend it on that basis. It is also close to a great selection of restaurants and cafes. The front desk staff are very helpful and friendly. The general condition of the room does not merit a 4 star rating. The closet doors were broken; there was no coffee or tea facility; the minibar fridge did not work; the beds were comfortable but incredibly noisy and creaky. The breakfast buffet is ok but not exceptional.

Central but hardly 4 star

-relatively clean, central but dated (bath taps are old) and beds a bit hard. I was here on business and needed a decent wi-fi connection above all but it was poor in my room and that of a colleague. I also left an iPhone charger in the room. Called back the next day and they couldn't retrieve it.

A location

Location is excellent, close to Plaza Catalunya, ramblas and museums. There are times when you have to wait longer than usual for the elevators and you move faster by using the stairs. Air conditioning worked perfectly, however we did not have neither Internet or television on the first day. Both things were resolved the next day. I would definitely recommend the hotel.

TERRIBLE!!

Booked two rooms, air con not working in friends room, given a fan to use, but in early hours loud bang and all electrics went off. At front desk told could not fix until morning, with only alternative given was to move in to a room that was dirty. told by night reception staff that friend was lying about air con. They said that the hotel was 'falling apart' They were very rude and unhelpful, second room eventually found. Reception staff in morning apologetic. there was no information in the rooms about the hotel, i.e. how to phone down to reception or the password for the Wi-Fi, asked why and they said hotel had been purchased by antoher company and were closing in December. There was also no bar as advertised, breakfast given as apology for problems but poor. This is definitely NOT a four star hotel, only thing in its favour is the location. WOULD RECOMEND THAT PEOPLE AVOID THIS HOTEL!

Nice hotel in the centre of Barcelona.

It is a chain hotel and close to the centre. From the metro take the St Pere exit and it's the road 2 up on the right. The staff speak good English although there are only two staff members on at any one time

Fantastic location, great staff

We were upgraded to a balcony room overlooking the Plaza Catalunya and would recommend it to all. A great location in a wonderful city. Staff were excellent although the hotel is a little dated but very clean. Excellent value for Barcelona.

This is not 4 star hotel.

It has a good location. But definitely, it is not a 4 star hotel. Staff is friendly and maintains hotel clean. However, for elevator, you have to open the door first. Mattress is old and not so comfortable. And every facility is old. I'd rather recommend Hotel Catalonia Square, which is located nearby.
