The room that we booked was great and beautiful. The shower does not have enough pressure, takes a long time to warm up. The television is a low quality, WiFi connection is slow for streaming in the television provided in the room. The water from the shower comes out of the shower and goes everywhere in the room.

The A/C worked better than any European hotel we have ever stayed at. The front desk staff were very cordial and knowledgeable. The front door men were excellent in their kindness, facial recognition, nearby bars, and reasonable clothing retailers. The entire hotel was spotless. We had a balcony with a gorgeous scenic view.

Nice clean rooms and love his property. If you don’t have a view of the cathedral, then you really don’t have a view at all. Just another building next-door. I definitely would upgrade to the room that has a view.

Wonderful hotel in the plaza where the Barcelona Cathedral is located. Metro stations are a short walk. Staff were very welcoming and responsive to our requests. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was also outstanding.

Perfect stay

Beautiful location and sparkling clean room. We thought it might be noisy due to location to the cathedral and bars/ restaurants, but our room was so quiet! Location, service, & amenities were all too notch. Staff were as super helpful & friendly, everything went perfectly at Hotel Lamaro.

The property is in a great location. The front check-in area is terrible. Only 2 people at the counter and the area is small. There was no concierge there while we were there. So if we wanted to ask a question, we had to wait for guests to check in (typical wait time 15 minutes). Also, the staff is rude, dishonest, and unhelpful. I needed a bandage was told to pick it up at the front desk. When I arrived I was told to go to the pharmacy! Not a great experience!

The roof top bar was expensive but the restaurant was very reasonable, we had a wonderful meal there. The breakfast was amazing. The staff are over the top helpful. The property is spotless. The gothic quarter is the best experiance. We were a party of 8, so we booked 4 rooms, every room was excellent.

For years coming to Barcelona on business and for pleasure, I have wanted to stay at this hotel. There was always an issue with availability and so it never worked out. This time, I was able to get a room, but was mostly disappointed. Most of the staff were excellent. The staff I had at the front check-in really couldn’t have cared less. I had a junior suite with a terrace. What I got was a room with a terrace that on one side was construction happening on another building and on the other side really nothing. There was no view. We were never notified at any time. The construction was taken place outside of the hotel. Working laid into the night back in America. I would go to sleep around 3 AM. At 9 AM the construction started. I talked to the front desk about this and they basically said there was nothing that they could do. I have stayed at five star hotels all over the world and they always inform you if there is construction happening in the area that is going to cause any kind of disruption. All I got was there was no other rooms available, and there was nothing they could do. They said that they would look into the next day as a possibility, but at that point, I didn’t even wanna have to unpack and then repack and then move and do it all over again. I got a nice room and paid like $650 per night for nothing. Very disappointed.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Lamaro. The team were so friendly and helpful. We loved the rooftop bar for the great cathedral views. We also opted for breakfast at the hotel which was excellent. Hope to stay again in the future and will recommend.
