We paid higher price (even in the late October) because this hotel has a high online ratings but we quickly learned after check-in that the 9+ rating was for upgraded rooms only, not for the standard room we got. We couldn't open the window curtains during our 6 nights stay because of the very close proximity of the other building, bath sink was clogging (even after the cleaning lady cleaned it), toilet flush button used to get stuck at each use, tub wall was dangerously high to cross after shower (even with the installed grab bar), one day the AC stopped working and when we contacted the front desk, they turned it on remotely (I didn't like them controlling it without our knowledge). The only thing we enjoyed was the elaborate breakfast and the smiling staff. The area is safe but it has a lots of graffiti.

The only thing I liked about the hotel was the location which was near several excellent restaurants. The bedroom and bathroom were dirty on arrival and at 4pm the bathroom drain started emitting the smell of sewer. We had to close the bathroom door as the bedroom started smelling terrible. We called reception and they immediately sent someone who poured some floral scented solution in the drain which improved the smell for about an hour until it started blending with the smell of sewer. I asked for a room change and was told there were no other rooms available. I requested a deep clean of the room since it was really not clean - shower had grime, bathroom counter and floor had crumbs and dust. The bedroom was dusty, the aircon had not been cleaned in a while since it triggered my allergies when switched on. On the second day, the room was cleaner but the smell of sewer returned in the afternoon. Told them about the smell again and the aircon. On the third day, the aircon was cleaner and the sewer smell only reappeared at midnight. The staff were friendly but the hotel condition far outweighed that. For the price, the hotel was definitely not worth it. We stayed at another hotel a few days before which was similar in price but much much cleaner and with better breakfast. Since I have VIP expedia status, Europark gave a free drink voucher which could not be used at the hotel, you need to go to one of the other hotels in their group to use it. I would not stay here ever again.

We were upgraded to the penthouse suite!!! Had an excellent view of Barcelona including the Segrada Família. Room had a separate living area, huge bathroom, and a large balcony. Updated decor, comfortable bed. Staff was very welcoming & the location was great. Walking distance to Passeig de Gracia , the Metro, & restaurants.

The hotel is in an excellent location for walking to most major tourist sites. While no immediate sites to see are outside the front door, there are cafés, resturants, and the convenient parking garage roght next door or within the city block. Our room was comfortable and clean, as was the bed, but the shower did have some residue in the corners. The decor, front staff, and quiet environment was excellent and the rooftop terrace was extremely relaxing and quiet for a siesta! Would highly recommend!

Good safe location. Front desk staff are so friendly and nice. Room was great, clean and overall well kept, my only complaint is that housekeeping would not restock coffee pods daily, I had to call front desk they would apologize and assured they would make sure it was stocked daily, housekeeping can use a bit more attention to detail. We had some other issues with it

We had no hot water in our shower. Called the front desk, they sent someone but could not fix. My wufe was forced to take a cold shower. We talked yo the manager, he was noce and told us he would give us some refund. But that never happen, called Expedia, Expedia contacted them, but they denied everything. Also, our room iwas facing the street, iwe could hear all the car noise and people talking on the street.

Overall, the stay was quiet and they housed us in a corner away from the elevator and crowd and grouped with other 2 rooms up at the 8th floor. The two gentlemen were super helpful with recommended local bars and bakery. They said we could get 2 drinks at the other hotel that had a 375 degree view but when we went there, the bartender said we only get 1 free drink. Not sure why. Didn’t get a bottle of champagne, just 2 glasses. A 2 maintenance men came in the morning without knocking to ensure there were guests inside so we weren’t sure if they were legit.
