Close to several Gaudi buildings and the Passeig de Gracia commercial heart, it’s a very convenient neighborhood for visitors, close (20 min by bus or fort) to Sagrada Familia and to La Vileta de Gracia, and easy metro ride to Parc Güell and La Rambla.
The apartment is modern though in a classic building. Nice kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom, and very nice host. We appreciated that there were both American-style drip coffeemaker and European-style stovetop (moka) pot.
Because it is in the tourist core, it can be a bit noisy with the windows open — as you’d expect.
Two comfort notes: The couch is a futon and not very comfortable, though serviceable. The bed is large but its mattress is foam so it can get hot and for some may be too soft; that’s more a taste issue.
