Got to hotel only to be told by staff that the twin bedroom I had booked wasn't available and that they only had a double room for us. Had to complain to the manager to get them to change it. Shame as the room was clean tidy and had good facilities.
The room was clean but lacked a few things .they had a A small alcove to hang your clothes no draws to put your underwear in so we had to keep them in the pockets of our suitcase.door didnât lock properly you could push it open when you locked it.had work men in fixing the heating only three staff on.whenwe we arrived told us the restaurant was closed because of shortage of staff.if we would have been told this when we applied to book a room by sandbanks we wouldnât have booked.l believe we should be compensated for this.we go to Barmouth regular and to be honest will not go to sandbanks again.such a let down.p.s what staff they had where friendly.
The staff were lovely and the room was clean. The room we stayed in was in the loft and was a bit dated. When we booked on Expedia we booked an ocean view room however when we got there we were told they didnât have any ocean view rooms available according to the staff (who was lovely and understanding) itâs a problem with Expedia and that this happened before. So my complaint here is more about Expedia not the hotel staff. Another issue we had was the occupants of the room under ours were very loud till 1am which is not pleasant we could hear everything going on in their room. Probably they also could hear us ( we were in bed at 10pm though so I donât think it was a problem for them)
