Very nice stay at the Port de Grave chalet. The chalet very rustic, very clean and very well equipped. The area was very beautiful, made several hikes including the beautiful heritage hike which is 400m from the chalet. The village of Bay Roberts is nearby for easy shopping.
My friends and I were in the area for a wedding and decided to stay here. The views are amazing out of any window in the house and we spent quite a bit of time on the deck enjoying the view. Danielle the owner was a very friendly and fast at responding if we had any questions. Would very much recommend staying here.
We had a wonderful time with this cottage as our jumping off point to explore all that Newfoundland has to offer. Icebergs, whales, hiking, and friendliness everywhere we turned. It was a magical week that we won't soon forget!
The Shoreline Heritage Trail was absolutely glorious. The charm of the old house was diminished by the amount of vehicles that pass by on the street which is very close to the place. Canât change the location, but we hadnât expected that. Also, the rope hand rail comes off the nail at the bottom of the stairs very easily and the electrical wiring and the bathtub area really should be improved.
Our stay was fantastic! Such a cozy home in the most beautiful town! Thank you!!! I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation home!
We thought it was a lot of house for the money. Kitchen was well appointed and easy to navigate. House was quirky but we enjoyed it. Especially enjoyed hiking on the nearby trail. Also recommend the cable museum,,and a visit to Brigus. One should also know that Bay Roberts has all the stores etc,,but no downtown section and there is a fairly busy road in front of the house.
The neighborhood you'll find very quickly is the warmest you've ever seen. Head up to mad rock cafe for breakfast (fish cakes & toutons) then hike the trail from the cafe to mad rock. The property is extremely relaxed & lovely.
I would have loved to see the basics added to their kitchen (like oil, salt, and vinegar). As well don't forget your shampoo and conditioner - there is none on the property.
Our stay at Lost Together was a dream for my cousin and I. The tranquility of the area and the perfectness of the Fisherman's Cottage was the perfect combination. We would highly recommend staying here.
My friends from Norway just finished a 3 night stay and they absolutely loved it! It was clean, had everything they needed and you couldnât beat the view. Thanks so much!
The authenticity of the home is bang on! The Host was really amazing and very quick to respond. But honestly we were just not comfortable here at all. While the listing notes uneven floors that is an understatement. We didn't realize how bad the home was. Its not recommended if you get Vertigo easily what so ever. Everything is effected including showering, stove, right up to laying in bed! You always felt you were on TILT! The beds were not good at all for two couples...the twin beds are better suited for small tots, but you won't want to have tots in the home due to the stairs and low upper wall around the staircase, would be afraid they would go over! The double bed is small of coarse but not super on the comfort side! Don't plan to sleep in, the sun comes up and blasts the double room as well as no mention that the road is literally right beside the front wall of the home! Loved the effort on touches of the home that was done well....but just fell short on comfort for the four of us.....
Lost Together was the perfect base, for our 1st trip to Newfoundland. It was very clean & included all that you would need in a home away from home. Danielle was friendly in her correspondence & always quick to reply to our messages. A peaceful setting. Of course, we would recommend!
