Beds were very hard and pillows were very squishy. Hard to fall asleep and have a nice nights sleep. House was very hot when we arrived but cooled down before bed (could not go below 70).
We liked the location. My husband made friends with the next door weekends only neighbor and biked from the house daily (he travels with his bike). I loved that there was a bike available to use in the shed (altho I didnât end up using it). The downtown part of Beaufort would be very accessible by bike. You could walk too but when itâs hot, it was easier to just drive. We had everything we needed. The bed was comfy, there were no weird smells like we have encountered at other places, no issues with mold. We enjoyed having ceiling fans. We never had reason to contact the owner nor they us so I canât tell you what communication would be like. The view outside in backyard of the marsh is beautiful. But bring bug spray! :)We would def stay again.
Check-in was easy! This place was very clean! Also, I didnât see any bugs ! The kitchen was well stocked with cups, plates, pots and pans, and utensils. This place is on the marsh so we had a beautiful view. Itâs also in a beautiful neighborhood! We enjoyed our stay and we would stay here again!
Nice clean house in a beautiful neighborhood close to downtown and 20 minutes to Hunting Island State Park. Everything we needed was there except couldn't get gas grill to work (maybe out of propane). Owner was easy to contact. Nice outside area with view of marsh. Would stay again!
Wonderful! The location is perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed watching the wildlife around the cottage. The Hunting Island State Park Pass was so appreciated and we spent many hours with our pets at the beach. We loved our stay in this beautiful and accommodating cottage!
We enjoyed Beaufort but got ate up by bugs of some kind in the house. The house had a late check out prior to our arrival which I think rushed their ability to clean.
Very nice, spacious, and comfortable cottage in beautiful setting with marsh view. Great kitchen, artsy decor, comfortable bed and seating. Hunting Island beach pass is perfect.
We had a wonderful stay West End. It was close to all the things we came to do. The Hunting Island state park pass was very handy since that is where we spent most of our days. The house was pet friend but still clean. It was nice to walk the dogs in the near by park. We will be back!
Had a amazing stay enjoying Beaufort! Already cant wait to come back, our place was beautiful and cozy and in the perfect spot to enjoy everything close by. Would and will recommend to friends and family.
We very much enjoyed the location of this cute home, especially the backyard sitting area to watch the bird life. It was all we needed for a weekend to visit family in the area.
The kitchen was beautiful, the marsh views were nice, and the neighborhood was quiet & peaceful. There were a few maintenance issues which the owner responded to quickly. I appreciated the use of the bikes and outdoor grill. I felt like some things definitely needed to be updated, including the carpeting which was worn and stained. The living room wasn't comfortable or inviting, and the beds weren't very comfortable. I also felt like there was stale energy in the house that needed to be cleared out, possibly because there is no back door & I didn't want to open the windows due to bugs in screens. But that is just my opinion. Those things were just a little disappointing since the stay was a little pricey. But we enjoyed our time in Beaufort, thank you for accommodating us.
My wife and I decided to get away to Beaufort for a long weekend 4/11 - 4/14 and stayed at this property. It was a quaint little home and was as described on the listing. Communication before check in was fantastic and responses to questions were answered quickly. The property is a quick and easy drive to Bay St./Waterfront Park, as well. The one thing my wife and did not know on what we had planned to be a quiet weekend in Beaufort was that the Beaufort Air Show was taking place across the marsh at the Air Station the weekend we were in town. It was a pleasant surprise to be able to see the Blue Angel's and other F-16, F-18 soaring through the sky and breaking the sound barrier. The couple the owns the home beside this property were kind enough to invite my wife and I over to watch from the fairly new dock that extends out in to the marsh for a better view. I would definitely stay at this property again the next time my wife and I make a trip to Beaufort.
We stayed two nights in the cottage and loved it! Very clean! A major plus was that we could bring our two dogs. Lovely neighborhood and close to everything. The marsh view from the kitchen window in the morning was most beautiful! We will come back!
The thermostat needed to be operated by the host remotely. To switch between heat and cool required a passcode that was not included in the manual. We contacted the host. It did get switched but we never could regulate a comfortable temperature at night to sleep. We messaged through VRBO and placed a call leaving a message. The message was returned and we walked through the issue.
Love the bench overlooking marsh. Altho hwy 21 at other end. Thursday night a bit loud with jets from nearby airbase but not all night, thank goodness. It would be nice to have local tv for news.
This charming home on an amazing piece of marsh front property affords incredible views and serenity! It is equipped with a beautifully redone kitchen and has everything we needed! Our dog loved it, too. Great walking area! We will return.
