I'm going to start this off with the 1 bad thing: the water pressure is terrible. I don't think it's the owner's fault...We've stayed in multiple 'beach' areas over the years and it seems to be an issue with most of them. I mention it because none of us have thick or very long hair so we dealt with it and it was sufficient but if you've got very long or thicker hair...this would probably be an issue.
Other than that, everything was perfect. We stayed here for our son's graduation from the Parris Island Marine basic training. We were no more than a 10 minute drive away from the base. We were a group of 4 adults most nights and 5 adults the last night. Beds were comfortable. Air worked well. Kitchen is well stocked. All the appliances were higher end, newer appliances. We had use of the yard...a VERY LARGE yard with a 6ft privacy fence. This is a pet friendly rental and, although we did not bring our dog, had we brought him there would have been plenty of space for him to run off any excess energy in that yard.
This is the fist rental we've stayed at that the owner provided so many amenities. There were more than enough towels provided to us...for us. We brought our own anyway. There was plenty of toilet paper left for us (brought our own anyway which wnded up being the same brand she had), paper towels (again....brought our own), etc etc. There was even some basic food items...spices and sugar, etc. She provided some varieties of k cup coffees and hot chocolates but again, we brought our own anyway. Lol.
The real sweet touch was that the owner had left us some soaps, shampoos, chopsticks, make up remover wipes, etc at the foots of the beds. That was very, very sweet and we were all just touched that she even did that.
The place was plenty big enough for the 4/5 of us. There was a fire pit outside that we enjoyed our last night here. Thankfully my parents brought fire wood. The pit was full of the scraps the lawn service picked up from the yard so there was plenty of kindling. Oh, and my husband wants me to mention that there's PLENTY of outlets.
We didn't do much in the area. We came down to see our son and to go to his graduation from basic training so every time we went out it was pretty much to the base and back but there's certainly a lot to do in the area.
