Perfect location for our trip to New River Gorge. Easy walk to many dining options and only a few minutes of a drive to activities and hikes. Wendy was a delightful host and the cottage was adorable. Comfy beds, excellent water pressure in the shower, and thoughtful snacks. We couldnât have asked for anything more. Thanks, Wendy!
The cottage was located close to restaurants and shops. The town has sidewalks that makes walking very easy. The town park has trailheads to several trails and lots of playground area. The town park even has a dog park. The cottage was very cozy. Great location and well stocked. Enjoyed the covered front porch. You can sit on the porch and take in the fresh air and enjoy your tea.
The kitchen had everything that we needed and more. The living room area was very comfortable. The bed was comfortable. The location was ideal. It was a mile away from the NP entrance. Fayetteville is a very neat town. Loved the Cathedral Cafe.
The location was absolutely perfect for exploring the national and state park. Great food places close by as well. The house fit our needs and was stocked with everything you need. Fire pit was a nice way to relax after enjoying the day outside. The attic is more for kids or maybe teens. Small room with twin rollaway bed is at the base of the stairs so might limit access. The host provided sâmores supplies which was a great touch. Thanks for a nice getaway in West Virginia!
Nice place. Coffee and samores supplies a nice touch. Tacos and Sandwich Society across street. Downtown Fayetteville an easy walk. Nice fire pit, plenty of games and books. Wendy replied to any questions within minutes.
The Cozy Cottage was an excellent VRBO to stay at in Fayetteville. The house was comfortable and well kept. The owners were responsive, and we had great communications with them when needed. The location of the cottage was superb with a couple of restaurants (Tequila Taco Bar, which was amazing, and Secret Sandwich Society) within steps of the house, and Downtown Fayetteville within walking distance. Southside Junction and Pies and Pints are both a short walk away and highly recommended. All of the outdoor activities in the Fayetteville area are only a short drive away with the New River Gorge visitor center only a little over a mile away and many of the rafting outfitters within a few minutes drive. If you are a light sleeper, you can hear some heavy truck noise from the nearby US Rt. 19, though we did not find it particularly bothersome. If you are in Fayetteville, definitely give the Cozy Cottage a chance!
Great location! Cassidy and Wendy were great hosts and very good with communication. We did arrive in the dark and even with clear directions, struggled a bit on finding the cottage. The entry to the driveway is a bit rough and bumpy. Be sure to stay in the middle of the driveway. It worked well for a our group of 4 adults and 2 children. The "hobbit" area upstairs is great for kids.
The house was older but lovely and very clean with lots of personal touches and suggestions for things to do. All amenities as described as well as plenty of books and games, as well as supplies for smores which was a fun touch! Good location across from the Secret Sandwich Society and a few minute walk from other shops and restaurants in town; and just a few minute drive to trails in New River Gorge. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and accommodating!
Lovely home- better than pictures. We were close to great hikes in the park and close to several food options. Homeowner was easy to work with & we would stay again.
The house was very cute and had everything we needed for our stay. It was difficult to find the driveway, but the host Wendy gave us excellent directions. Walkable to all the restaurants and a short drive to the visitor's center for New River Gorge National Park. There is another visitor center about 45 minutes away, but it was not a bad drive. Would definitely stay again.
The cottage was well located for our activity in the New River Gorge. Furnishings were comfortable & there were several interesting/neat pictures/paintings on the walls. The cottage had everything we needed for our weekend. Wendy is a great host- timely response & good communication. I will mention that while the location is very convenient, it is moderately noisy as it is right by town. The Cozy Cottage is a great place to stay for activity in town and in the New R Gorge National Park.
Delightful stay at this lovely cottage. Comfy beds, cute decor and lots of books and games. Very nice place to relax after our busy days at the park. Great location for everything we planned to do.
We had such a great experience at the cozy cottage. Everything we wanted to do was close by and whenever we came back after a day of hiking, it was so refreshing to be there.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cozy cottage. It was so well stocked with all that would be needed for a night or a month. The organic tea was one of my favorite "extras."
