Pros: so fun to get out of the city a little bit. Glamping was awesome, especially in the cold. The bed was comfy with lots of warm blankets. Easy to get to and from town if interested. Cons: it was so muddy! But that comes with the territory. :)
This is a well maintained and private camping experience The essentials are provided for, so you can fly to this destination and still have your camping needs met.
The yurt is within easy driving distance from Bellingham and the surrounding sights. I plan on staying here for future trips. I loved it
My only comment is in regards to cleanlinessâŠi would think it would be fairly easy to carry a rechargeable vacuum out to the yurt as dogs are allowed and pet hair covered the flooring. Blankets also need laundering bw stays as they smelled heavily like other people. I would also recommend a couple more sleeping pillows
Thank you for providing this experience josh
Your gardens around your home are fabulous!!
We were really surprised that it seemed like it was secluded, But it was close to everything.
Will you plan on staying there again when we get a chance to.
This yurt is perfect to stay in if you have the urge to tent camp but it's just too rainy out! It was super cozy and was super close to great hikes. Thank you for the hospitality!
Cozy stay! Loved the firepit and deck area. Bathroom pleasant. We had a great weekend- this was so much more fun than staying at a hotel! Thoughtful host, very quick to respond!
We didnt even use the heater although it was cold, we didnt mind at all. Adds to the fun! We both slept like babies, as did our dog. They provided warm blankets including a great doggie blanket. Even provided dog treats and bowls and towels. We never met the host which just added to the privacy factor. Thank you Joshua!
My husband and I stayed for the weekend with our dogs. Very nice, well set up yurt in a good location. Everything was very functional, and the neighborhood was quiet but close to town. Thanks so much! We highly recommend.
I would highly recommend Joshâs yurt! He was very personable and the check in process was easy. The yurt was very cozy, even in the winter! We were very surprised with how comfortable the pull out bed was, and the blankets were exceptionally cozy. The location was really close to things. The only suggestion I would have is a stool to put down the outside roller-blinds on the yurt. We didnât even realize there were blinds until half way into our stay, and then we couldnât reach them. Thatâs a very small thing compared to all the greatness of this stay, though!
It was quiet, private and very relaxing. The only suggestion I have is some folding tv trays to eat meals or play cards, otherwise it's well stocked with all you need.
The yurt and host were wonderful. We got in late at night and he showed us around the property. The bed and space was comfortable and nestled in the trees. We saw deer both mornings just outside the yurt. Quiet location in nature but still very accessible to Bellingham and surrounding areas.
My husband and I stayed here after a long day of traveling quite a distance and getting our oldest settled at college. Such a peaceful and relaxing place. We will most definitely stay here again.
The location was a bit further out than expected, but worth it. The property has a fun layout with separate areas for chilling separate from the yurt area and hammock swings in another. I would love to see the old walking labyrinth returned to usable condition. This would create a third outdoor "room" separate from the yurt itself. It is very important to know that the bed is a fold out couch with memory foam but a fold out nonetheless. The property gives the impression it is quite rural though we could hear the highway and neighbors. This being said, I am pretty certain they could not hear or see us. The property is over-lit, IMO, as the motion detectors are very bright. The property is far more than a yurt, it can be an experience with an outdoor off the grid solar powered electricity and composting toilet. We had a great time despite the heat of the yurt and the mosquitos which which were unavoidable in the 90+ degree temp. We especially liked the swings and wildlife (coyotes howling, deer and bunnies).
