Great location, walking distance to the Old Mill District and downtown. Jacksons Corner restaurant across the street is wonderful, we ate there 3 times! Bed is extremely uncomfortable. Feels like a thin foam pad on concrete. Coffee maker needs to be replaced, coffee was awful from it. We bought an inexpensive k-cup maker to use while there. Kitchen is smaller than a bar area in a hotel suite, but it works. Biggest complaint is the key code entry door. Take 6-8 attempts to get the door open, or locked when leaving. Not fun when it’s cold outside, or if it’s late when you’re tired. Overall a cute, very little place with the best location though.

Very good location. We walked to everything. We were greeted and let in by Lisa who was very kind and answered all of our questions. She was very accessible when needed. Very comfortable place to stay for two people. The pull out couch was very comfortable!

I booked this home due to the walking distance to downtown Bend which was great however when we arrived we noticed that the rugs next to the bed looked dirty and looked like they needed to be replaced. We showed up Thursday night and couldn’t get the tv to work till Saturday morning. The toilet seat was broken and comes off the hinges. The details said there was an iron (my husband needed one). There was no iron but Lisa was great and brought us one. The check out instructions say to start a load of towels but there’s no washer. We pulled out the futon couch and there was stains and food crumbs on it. We spend a good amount of time at the house so overall it wasn’t worth it for how much we paid unfortunately.

The good stuff: Host was extremely welcoming; gift of wine and coffee was completely unexpected and wonderful. Can't emphasize enough the value of location. We didn't have to go far to find food, shopping, etc. Great neighborhood, both quaint and quiet. Host was responsive to inquiries.The stuff to improve: I think the information regarding operating the cottage needs a refresher. This particular unit didn't have a washing machine, yet directions initially told us to set up a load before leaving. It would also have been nice to know the parking situation before arriving; fortunately, it didn't pose a problem. TV was frustrating: cable service frequently disappeared or failed to activate.Those issues aside, I would stay here again at a heartbeat.

Kitchen was just barely adequate - one giant frying pan! Everything was too high! Actually couldn’t reach most of the dishware. ( 5” and 5”3” tall) Shower aimed right at our heads and unmoveable. Clean, comfy bed/ sleeper sofa. Add a step stool and some newer smaller pots/pans. Location was great.

Location was absolutely amazing, we could walk to downtown easily. Beds were comfy, place was clean overall except the rugs on either side of the bed, not a huge deal. Maybe also have some saran wrap in the kitchen? We had leftovers and nothing to cover them with in the fridge.

This location is SO great! The host left us a bottle of wine and bag of coffee which we enjoyed both! We walked everywhere we went. The home was clean and worked for our small family.

Cozy little hidden gem -- would definitely stay here again!As promised, you can truly walk everywhere! Looks exactly like the listing and we got complimentary coffee grounds and a bottle of white wine. There's a patio out front which is great for coffee-sipping, people-watching, and dog-spotting. Beds were nice and comfy. Shower was decent, showerhead is fixed to the wall but you could adjust the spray/water pressure a little. Comfortably sleeps four with a queen bed and a queen-sized pull-out; it got a little difficult sharing one bathroom between four girls over four nights and only being provided 3 rolls of toilet paper... Luckily, Jackson's Corner cafe across the street has a couple bathrooms (which I used only after making a purchase- 8/10 food but prepare for a long line).

The house is fine. Accommodations are moderate quality, same as the photos. The reason for my rating is the terrible response from the host when I found rodent droppings in the kitchen. I sent a video to the host and they said they were “sorry”. Sorry is great but it doesn’t change the fact that I paid good money and prepared food in the same kitchen as rodents and rodent feces. Absolutely unacceptable response from the host and I will not stay with this host again at any of their Oregon homes.

Exactly what we needed

Perfect place for our needs. Good friends 2 blocks away. Walking distance to just about everything. Off street parking. And a nice bottle of wine and some coffee as a welcome gift! Wholeheartedly recommend.
