The big house at Branch is bright, secluded, and wonderfully peaceful. Well-appointed and furnished, the home is comfortable for a long weekend or longer. Every bedroom is comfortable, with lights and chargers on the nightstands and darkening shades on the windows. With big TVs for movies, assorted games, puzzles, and even a turntable if you bring some vinyl, there's plenty to keep everyone occupied. The middle room has comfy couches that are great for reading (no TV on this level!).
Get up early, grab a coffee, and sit on the big deck to watch and hear a cacophony of birds singing the new day open. After spending the day in town and the area parks, settle into a nice evening looking at stars soaking in the hot tub (watch carefully, you might see the space station whizzing by like we did).
If you're driving an EV, the adjacent garage has a couple of J1772 chargers (bring your adapter if it's a Tesla). The route up to the house will lower your EV efficiency a bit -- steep but perfectly drivable graveled grades to reach the house.
The kitchen has everything for cooking up great meals, including a double oven, big blender, good(!) knives, and plenty of pots and pans.
We enjoyed our four-day stay immensely and are grateful to the hosts for being responsive and welcoming.
