Enjoyed the cabin. Makes you realize how nice we have it. We did notice one thing, that was the quietness of stay. Sitting on the porch you could hear the birds and enjoy the solitude
Super easy check in! Judy was amazing and friendly! The kitchen area was handy for making a quick dinner and we cooked our meats over the fire/grill outside. Our kids loved the easy stream access. We will be back!
The cabin is cute and cozy. Mrs Judy was so kind and hospitable. We wish it had a real toilet and sink. The bathroom is a lean-to and had a few spaces bugs could enter. (Be sure to turn off the light at night.). It is basically camping- lots of nature all around.
Amazing! Surrounded by nature- a small creek right outside the back door. Cabin is charmingly rustic & authentic. The smell of the logs, antique furnishings & decor, authentic lean to bath house with clawfoot tub and propane heated water. You will fall in love with the nostalgia and charm. Judy was a wonderful host quick to recommend local places to eat explore and shop. This is a place to relax and reconnect. Judy hooked me up with some of her wonderful Ivy oatmeal soap for my terrible poison oak rash. So soothing. Highly recommend a stay at Judy's place!! We had an amazing stay!đđđ thfurnishisurroundings.
Judy was simply precious. She met us at the cabin where she went over the property. She provided the history of the property which was incredible. The cabin is primitive with a modern accommodations. There is a functional bathroom a step out of the back door. The kitchen area has a two burner hotplate, microwave, dorm size fridge, toaster and coffee pot. There isn't a TV but the cabin does have Wi-Fi. We brought a small smart TV for the morning news. The sounds at sundown are a reminder that you are in nature. The mornings were perfect for watching the humming birds eat. We did cook hotdogs on a campfire for the first night. The property is beautifully groomed and would be a great place for a game of cornhole or croquette. We forgot our cornhole.
The cabin is close to the Ark Encounter and The Creation Museum..
If you have ever camped and love peace and quiet, this is the place to be. The property is almost like a museum , there is something to see at every turn. Many items are for sell. We plan on returning.
It was a lovely historic property out in the country. We wish we could have stayed longer. The inside decor was filled with miscellaneous antiques which were fun to peruse.
Wonderful property to relax and unwind. We loved sitting on the front porch in the rocking chairs and reading. The host is a wonderful lady!! Make sure you look at all the pictures of this cabin. The stairs going to the bedroom are very steep and you have to utilize a âbathhouseâ which is attached to the back of the cabin. But you do have to go outside to enter. There is an RV portable toilet and pump sink, along with a clawfoot tub and shower. Cabin was very clean and decorated according to the time period. The history of the cabin is interesting.
This little antique cabin is exactly as described. If youâre looking for a glamping experience, this is the place to be! Ms. Judy is a lovely lady and getting to meet and talk with her was a pleasure as well. My grandson loved catching crawfish and tadpoles and gently and quickly putting them back into the creek outback. I personally enjoyed listening to the songbirds sing and smells of the wildflowers surrounding the delightful piece of history. It was nice experiencing life as it was in the early 1800âs. Itâs a thumbs up for me!
Where to start? Mullinâs Cabin is exactly as pictured. Itâs beautiful, cozy, relaxing and just perfect! Judy was a wonderful hostess and we enjoyed chatting and getting to know her.
Listening to the birds chirping away and sitting out on the porch was very relaxing. If you have an opportunity to stay at Mullinâs Cabin do not pass it up! We are already planning next yearâs trip.
Where to begin... This cabin is very rustic. It is not for the faint of heart. But oh the feeling of home you get when you walk in!!! Ms. Judy is an AMAZING host and woman. She met me at the property, gave me the tour, then said good bye. She did check in to ensure i had what i needed! And was quick to suggest the best places for "local" cuisine!! If you need a place and space to refresh your soul, THIS IS THE PLACE!! The porch was as cozy as the rest of the cabin; a great place to enjoy coffee and the morning! The cabin was a little closer to civilization than I had hoped, but the locals didnt seem to mind the "outsider" looming on the porch âșïž; they just waved and went on.
Thank you again, Ms. Judy!!!
Everything was wonderful! The quite cabin brings rustic charm to an otherwise busy world 10 min off the highway. Due to the amount of rain, our kids weren't able to play in the creek during our stay or build a campfire, we enjoyed our stay and they were still able to enjoy the open space. Judy had everything ready and prepared for us when we got there and was there to greet us, even though we arrived later than we expected.
It was the perfect place for a me time, Judy is a wonderful host and the cabin have everything I needed, if someone is looking for a peaceful, charming and rustic place, the Mullins Cabin have it all, it was the best time that I had for a while.
I enjoyed staying there-although it took a little time to adjust. Itâs very rustic. A step up from camping. Iâm not a camper anymore but we had a wonderful time and if I ever get another chance I will do it again.
We enjoyed the peace and seclusion of the cabin, a beautiful hollow. It did take us some time to adjust to no wifi, phone, television, radio and modern plumbing. But, we reminded ourselves of what our accommodations were. We wondered about life during the 1800s having much fewer conveniences. The lighting was very low.
Absolutely charming! True 1850's experience. Enjoyed the surroundings, scenery, and overall atmosphere. Judy was an amazing host. Well stocked with goodies. Great base for our vacation.
On our way through Kentucky to visit the Arc and Creation Museum we stayed at this fun rustic cabin. It was a real visit to a humble historic cabin in the rolling hills. We saw deer and humming birds every morning while sipping coffee as the sun wakes up the black walnut trees around you. I would definitely revisit this cabin.
