The day before our arrival, we were notified the air conditioning at the home had broken, and they were trying to cool the house down by installing window units. The window units did help some, but having an infant in the 90-degree heat was unacceptable. We asked VACASA for fans to help circulate the air, which they said they would bring but never did.
The home was not adequately cleaned upon arrival. I notified VACASA about the TV covered in handprints (so much that we couldn't see the screen), the lack of garbage bags/cans, dirty ice trays left in the sink, and dirty dishes in the dishwasher upon arrival. The rental company said they would send someone out the next day, and when I tried to contact them when no one showed up, they have not responded.
I have been trying to contact someone since our arrival, and now, upon checkout, I have yet to get a response via email, phone call, or text.
The contract we signed was undoubtedly not fulfilled, and we will never rent with VACASA again. They need to reply and respond; what would have been a simple list of complaints has now become a much bigger issue since the company has not responded to any requests while at the property or after when trying to reconcile.
