Just wanted a nice quiet getaway for our anniversary. We booked 30 days ahead (Vacasa) and were paid in full when we were informed that there would be work on the deck outside and we would have to use a different pool. Two days before we were informed that an inspector would be coming into the property while we were there. When we arrived, we were informed by a surly desk clerk at Vacasa that all the that the indoor amenities listed (pools, gym, sauna) were unavailable at the time. We had pre-paid for tags to access all these amenities. Property was in a great spot, overlooking the ocean. The rooms were shabby, with minimal lighting, one light was literally a bare bulb.The glass doors were rusted and didn't slide properly and the electric blind on the right side was inoperable and stuck in the closed position obscuring the million dollar view. WiFi didn't work. We contacted "guest services" (a really nice guy who worked in the laundry who fixed the WiFi), and he said someone would come and fix the blind. Never happened. We have stayed at Sea Colony many times and this has never happened before. We felt totally ripped off and won't be using VRBO, Vacasa, or Sea Colony again.
