We stayed here because we were familiar with Hardrock resorts and it was pet friendly. We drove from states away and timed it for checking in. Our room was not ready. We had to wait and when I explained our check in time was 4 and asked when it would be ready the person at the desk said check in time is when your room is ready not necessarily 4. Won’t stay here again. Conditions were not top quality for the price. Disappointed for a Hardrock.

Overall, the property has 2 different elements. 1) Platinum Tower (my initial booking) was beautiful! The room, amenities, view..just beautiful. Crisp, clean. Perfect. Disclaimer: I initially booked a smoking room. Platinum Tower is 100% smoke free. I opted to change my room..assuming all rooms were similar. 👀 2) Royal Tower... respectfully, it was kind of ghetto. I wanted to smoke, but doggone! I ordered air fresheners for the room because it smelled horrible. I checked in around or after 5pm from GPT airport. It was antiquated and very depressing. The curtains were dusty and dirty, the cigarette burnt rugs, the analog thermostat that was older than I am (btw, I'm 50). The doggone smell of smoke so heavy and overwhelming that I had to turn the antiquated thermostat off to stop the smell from choking me out. I rode it out because I requested to be moved to a smoking room. My mom told me never volunteer, unless you KNOW what you're volunteering for. I totally get it now. For MY taste in rooms, expectations of cleanliness/up keep it's a "NO" for their smoking rooms. The hotel's, staff, security, shops and restaurants were great. The Casino didn't show me any love, but hey, it was ok too. It's walkable although there are vagrants in the area. Even after 10 pm I felt relatively safe (I only went to close proximity locations). No security is offered outside the Valet areas/hotel areas. Honestly, they need to do better by upgrading the smoking rooms.

Loved the vibe of the Hard Rock Hotel and the cleanliness of the rooms. Staff at check-in could have been friendlier. Checkout was a breeze and staff at checkout was very cordial.

We enjoyed our stay. I would not recommend staying in a room where smoking is allowed if you don’t like the smell. But the rooms are clean comfortable and spacious.
