Comfortable night stay thank you

Hayley had done a great job preparing yhe room. It had a fresh smell, very clean comfortable bedding and plenty of freshly laundered towels. The room had plenty of space and the beds were very comfortable. Loved looking out over the canal and watching geese and swans swimming. The staff were exceptionally helpful. From our arrival and letting us know the room was ready earlier than expected, to helping with parking query, and sorting a spare toothbrush for me. Even at after 1am when we returned from a birthday event the staff were polite, wished us a good night and had a smile. Nice range of food choices for breakfast in the morning too that was regularly replenished.

Breakfast was a disaster. Pais £15 and nothing was replenished. No yoghurt, no croissants, no pastries at all. No bran flakes. No muffins. No bowls, coffee machine was empty the other broken. The boiled eggs were old, slimy and rancid tasting. The waitress i pointed this out to was rude and needs to stop calling people sweetheart. Its completely inappropriate.

Property is tired and needs updating. Bathroom had black mould which was unslightly and a black mark in the bath. There was a mark of the chair. There’s a Wetherspoons opposite and it’s too noisy to leave the windows open. It’s not a hotel I’d recommend

Lovely stay

Couldn’t fault anything, rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing everything was cooked perfectly. We visited the spa and it was so relaxing.

Hotel was great for one night, however there was alot of noise till early hours with boy racers presumably at MerryHill shopping centre. But otherwise pleaseant stay. Food in the bar was excellent.

It was a great place to stay. My only issue was the shower curtain needs replacing ans the bath plug was stuck! General maintenance. It is a greta place to stay and close to merry hill shopping.

We had room 127. Certain handicap requirements were missing from this specialist room. The toilet only had one support rail, needed a rail next to the toilet level with the pull down support rail. The shower area had a support rail affixed diagonally on the left of the shower which wouldn't help anyone. There was no support rail on the right of the shower.

The hotel is a little old and tired. Rooms are spacious but all the equipment including shower are out of date compared to hotels of a similar price break. The cost of parking should be advertised not that is expensive but it is an extra cost. Food choice is excellent and high quality and well priced. Staff are very friendly. Was surprised to repeat my check-in procedure after I had checked in on line
