Clean but lacking

The hotel is clean. But the rooms are not in good condition. There was little to no lighting at the sink, the toilet didn’t flush correctly, and the plugs near the TV did not work. Also the breakfast was dismal. Little selection, barely warm and looked unappealing and wasn’t edible. Most of my crew threw out the food on their plates.

The room was dirty. There was food residue on the desk and both bed side tables. The carpet had food crumbs and debris. I found plastic on the floor and in the closet area. The glass glasses were filthy (there were no plastic glasses in the room). The iron was not heating, but the front desk had a working one in the room upon my return from a trip away from the hotel. I had asked fir the carpet to be vacuumed while i was out but that did not happen. I have stayed at Hyatt properties in the past and have been very happy and comfortable but this experience definately did not live up to what i had previously known for a Hyatt property!

After traveling for hours, we stopped in Birmingham. When my son opened the pull out sofa, there was shredded cheese all over the sheets. Clearly it was not cleaned. The lady up front was very nice and did change rooms but all i could think about was whether or not they actually cleaned the beds.

The headboard was skewed downward to the left. One of the bedside lights didn’t work. The shower gel dispenser was completely empty. The facility in general is run down and needs a significant update.
