The location was the main thing for me, being centrally located. This could be an issue at weekends with outside noise, but it wasn't too bad. The hotel looks a bit tired in places, but it is clean.
The hotel was extremely run down. Its in the midst of some kind of renovation or demolition, I couldn't quite tell.
The room was dated and that's being kind.
The duvet had stains on it, there was a load of toilet paper unflushed in the loo and there was a towel on the back of the bathroom door that either had curry or sh*t on it.
If there was literally anywhere else to stay at that time of night, I would have left.
The worst place I think I've ever stayed.
Don't do it, save yourselves!!
All staff I came across were really friendly and welcoming. My questions were all answered.
The hotel was delightfully wonky in places. Perfect location and clean.
Very disappointed- renovations (not stated until I arrived) meant: no food, no breakfast, no bar. Lovely hotel, and staff (friendly) have their hands tied, but Iâd expect advanced warning if I had to organise my own breakfast, especially after arriving late after driving through a storm. A motel.
The Talbot hotel attractive listed old building in a central good location...
Check in a bit slow....thought they didn't have my reservation.
Room clean, but cold...heater did not work, hardly any amenities, 1 small tablet soap each and 1 small tube of shampoo/conditioner each, no shower gel.
This hotel has been going for a refurbishment recently But it is still nice and clean. Iâm sure what to refer it meant is completed it be even better they could do with a fridge and maybe a microwave in the room and also a hairdryer.
Handy stopover location - close to rail station and near destination the next morning. I was aware there were no catering facilities so used the local Wetherspoons. Hotel is undergoing refurbishment but provides a basic service with clean rooms and comfortable beds. Lovely old building which deserves some TLC - good luck to the owners!
Parking was easy and we felt safe. Reception gave us a warm welcome. No restaurant or bar available which was a let-down but there were plenty of other eating establishments nearby.
Les points forts : Personnel et service et confort de la chambre
Great value for money, staff are warm and welcoming. The entire hotel is being renovated on a shoestring. Fixtures and fittings are low quality. Most rooms have really good, clean showers.
Ideal for workman or a crash pad for a night in Stourbridge. Brilliant central location
We booked a double room, but were 'upgraded' to a family room, which didn't include a bed big enough for 2 to sleep in - fine with me, though! The beds were comfortable, the room was quiet and it was clean. The carpet had slug trails on it and had seen better days. Given the price, it was as expected.
