Friendly owners, clean rooms and quiet as it is slightly out of town.
Easily walkable to town and close to the prom.
Few little niggles like electric shower that neither of us could find a good temperature and was really slow.
We personally didnt enjoy the breakfast but others may.
I misread the details of the ensuite so we had a shower in the room but no toilet which didn't suit us at all.
When booking, I needed a hotel with patking but the hotel only had on street parking, and when we arrived there, there were no spaces available.
The rooms themselves were clean but the showers are very difficult as the unit is over 6ft up on the wall, I am 5'1 and really strluggled to reach. Our hosts, Petra and Linda were lovely and overall, the stay was comfortable.
The actual building is a lovely old terraced house of 3 storeys.
The room was a small single with a bed and a sink and some drawers. Hanging space is 4 plastic hangers on hooks.
The wifi code listed does not work.
The shower only produces cold water no matter what setting is selected or how long it is run.
Breakfast is between 9 and 10 not great if you have earlier plans but was okay on the days I waited for it although the fried bread was too crispy/crunchy and no baked beans. You could have tomatoes or mushrooms not both.
The other guests, I only saw 2 others, seemed to order what they liked after my order had been placed but I never did see a baked bean.
The worst part was in the room next to mine were what sounded like 2 yapping dogs who yapped from morning til night. Sleeping was a problem but the cold shower soon woke me up.
I stayed 5 days and my room was not hoovered nor my towels changed.
Overall the basic b and b was awful and I had hoped to maybe get some money back for the poor service provided but the owners stated everything works just fine and I had no chance.
Its location on North Shore is also quite a rough area and a good 30 minute walk or ÂŁ8 taxi ride from the town centre.
Once away from the b and b Blackpool was surprisingly quiet apart from down at The Metropole hotel where there were hundreds of what looked like asylum seekers hanging around.
If I do return to the area new accomodation will be sort somewhere without dogs and with warm showers.
The reason I gave it a low score, is because the room next to me had two dogs that would not stop barking until about 10pm. Then started again around 7.30 am. Otherwise I could not fault it. If you want a low budget stay, then you wonât find better.
I stayed as I was at a rock concert in Lytham
Stay was excellent comfortable and warm
Cooked me what asked for for breakfast (just wanted fried eggs on toast) was presented lovely and was really hot
Had a lovely wkend stay with my partner and 2 young children, room was nice and luscious and clean, the 2 lady owners made us feel very welcome the breakfast was spot on couldnât fault the place, nice quiet location will definitely return
