Econo Lodge Christiansburg-Blacksburg I-81 was just what I was looking for, a comfortable, quiet and affordable place to stay while I was helping my graduate move out from his apartment. The bed was pleasantly comfortable, and even with it being a motel, it was quiet, safe and cozy (I’m not usually a motel person). My only complaint is with the parental restrictions on the T.V. They should lift those when an adult is staying in the room, I wasn’t able to watch anything listed “for mature audiences only”. Great place! Thanks for your hospitality!

Staff was helpful and friendly. The room was clean. Hotel was overpriced for being so dated, but it was graduation weekend. Perhaps the price would be more appropriate on a regular weekend.

I expect very little from an Econo Lodge. Which is why I’d rank it as ok/fine. Nothing truly bad. However, the exorbitant amount of money we had to pay (over $400/night) felt like a big rip off. We paid it because it was all we could find in the area due to event at the university. I wouldn’t normally pay even $100 for a room like it.

I can tolerate an uncomfortable bed and the noise in a hotel, but what I cannot tolerate is how dirty a room is. So gross, I checked out first thing the first morning - I was supposed to stay 2 nights.

I realize this was a lower end hotel, but for $175 per night, it was very dirty. Used soap and hair in bathroom--disgusting! Beds hard and uncomfortable; covers on bed the thinnest ive ever experienced. Everything looked like ownership didnt care about winning repeat customers, including lose tiles in bathroom. I stayed a total of 9 hours between check in and out, and could not wait to leave.
