Great little secluded cabin that was still close to everything. Only bummer was the electrical outlets in the bathrooms didn't work, otherwise it was an excellent stay!
We found the cabin to be surprisingly quiet even though it is located near Business Route 6. It is private, and has a beautiful view of the valley. Each time we pulled up and stepped in, we felt we were transported to the Adirondack Mountains, with the knotty pine wood and the mountain-themed accoutrements. Being an amateur woodworker, my husband marveled at the quarter-sawn flooring in the living room. It was appropriately cozy for the two of us (although the VRBO ads made it seem enormous due to the use of a wide-angle lens; they should probably redo those photos or add room dimensions, as larger groups renting the cabin may be disappointed in its size). It was very easy to get to, and the directions for getting in initially were easy and flawless. While close to shopping, restaurants, and highways, it becomes a retreat once one pulls off the parking lot and rolls down the driveway. While there were some minor concerns we had about the property, we have chosen to address those privately with the owners and not on a public forum like this.
We had a great time! The cabin was beautiful and comfy! The WiFi was out and a technician was supposed to come out Saturday but never showed. The caretaker kept trying to give us passwords to try but they didnât work. Out hotspots worked well that we could still watch movies but hopefully this is fixed shortly. There was no weird smell, it smelled like a log cabin and wood to me. There was not an electric fireplace but a real one which worked great but per my husband the flue has to be shut manually and doesnât shut with the slider. There was a kurig which we were thankful for but I didnât see that in the description so I thought I would mention it. To anyone going here, make sure you drive to the left of the church and down the dirt road. I donât think we would have found the place at night as the gps just dropped us off at the church. Overall it was a very relaxing and nice weekend away and we would go again.
This cabin is very clean and located in an area where you can access things easily. Plenty of places to eat and things to do close by. The only downside is the beds were EXTREMELY uncomfortable there are huge indents where someone slept on the mattresses.
We spent almost the entire stay with no heat. It was a steady 54° in the cabin, but only due to being able to light a fire in the fireplace. They did send someone out right away, but it was not able to be fixed until the following day in the evening. We spent all our time keeping the fire going instead of being able to enjoy ourselves.
There were some small issues with the cabin, but nothing that made us want to leave. I informed the company and they were very responsive. Its a cute cabin and loved the cabin theme throughout. We had a great time as a family and enjoyed our stay and loved utilizing the porch area. Very cute cabin.
Within a couple hours of getting our check-in email for this property we received an email telling us this property was not available and we were being sent to another location. This was at 10pm... I was not able to reach out to the Rep who emailed until 7am and then I was treated like an inconvenience for asking for the details on the property we were being switched to... We ended up being 30 minutes from where we were trying to be and this was completely disregarded because the substitute property was a "luxury rental". We didn't care, we wanted to rent this cabin and be in the town we were driving 7 hours to visit.
The cabin was in a great location for what we needed. Right off the highway but tucked back enough that there was no traffic noise. Cabin was beautiful, very clean. Check in process was very easy, communication with the host was excellent. Would definitely stay here again. Pictures were great but cabin , in person, was even nicer than expected
You are behind a church and coming in at night it felt creepy driving in dirt path but the cabin was clean cozy and served our purposes well. One tiny error was resolved quickly by the host would recommend to orhers and if i were in that area i would stay again

It just couldâve been a little cleaner. Didnât seem like the comforters have been washed in a long time. Although the sheets and clean. The place just needs a really good deep cleaning.
Iâve been thinking about this review for a while because Iâm conflicted.
This house has all the potential to be the cutest and most comforting stay one could imagine. However, our sheets were dirty, the floors dirty, dishes dirty. There was a broken crack pipe in one of the phone chargers in the couch. It just looked like the bare minimum of cleaning was done, if that. There should not be white stains on the sheets. I will say we contacted the owner and they immediately sent a cleaner to fix this. Although, once we arrived back to the house after the cleaner had âfinishedâ she had only washed the sheets and not cleaned anything else. And when I say washed the sheets she took ALL of our sheets and left. Arrived multiples hours after our arrival to drop them off in trash bags without any notification. We were under the impression that we were without sheets because of lack of communication. I want to say itâs not necessary the owners fault if they are not local but they should highly consider hiring a different cleaning crew.
Having said all of this, the house is so comfortable and cozy, my spouse and I still said we wouldnât mind coming back but we know to bring our own cleaning supplies for any future stays. Mainly because of location, atmosphere, and coziness of the house.
I hope this review interprets our stay fairly and that effectively. Itâs a great place but needs more care and appreciation than it has been given.
This cabin was great for our family! An odd location, tucked behind a church, but very quiet and secluded. Only 15 min from Scranton, tons of stores and restaurants right down the road.
The property manager was very accommodating and quick to reply. The cleaning company however needs to step up their game. There was nothing icky enough to make us want to leave, but itâs obvious the cleaners cut corners. There were no complimentary toiletries as described in the listing, and I had to buy my own sponge and dish soap.
This is definitely not a bad review because we really enjoyed staying at the cabin! It just needs some sprucing!
