Erica went beyond expectations in making this a comfortable place to stay, including extra special touches that were very appreciated! She even offered to restock any supplies and launder towels. Just What I Needed

I had a Highland Games competition down in Greentop and ended up staying here alone - it was perfect andi would have been even more fun as a girls weekend! Place was clean, granola was DELICIOUS, neighborhood was quiet, bed was comfy. Unwound with a little Sinatra and Joplin on the turntable. The place is exactly as described. I would 100% stay again. As others have mentioned the bathroom is ground level so if you have to pee 2-3/night like this old lady does, if you can take the little bedroom with the single bed that'll make it easier! I really appreciated the water, yogurt, granola even coffee and creamer (although I'd brought my own) that's really going over and above. Thanks for the peaceful oasis in the middle of a long weekend with lots of hours on the road!

Lovely gem in Bloomfield!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful and unique carriage house! It was the perfect retreat for our family of four. Cozy, comfortable, and full of thoughtful touches. The fresh flowers, stocked yogurt, and granola made us feel right at home.We truly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay!

Mistake

The property is difficult for seniors in the winter. Bathroom on a different floor than living space meant 12 -15 stairsteps each way to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. It was also quite cold.

Very relaxing stay

We used this property for an overnight stay for a nearby wedding. Erica was very responsive to messages. The carriage house was very cool with a lot of little touches that made it feel like home. The vinyl collection and record player was a very nice way to wind down the evening and have a great nights sleep! I highly recommend this listing!

Charming, Cozy, and Historic

The historic Steckel carriage house was one of the most delightful places we have ever stayed during our many travels. It was exactly as advertised and then some. Our hosts were so thoughtful and we really enjoyed the coffee station and delicious homemade granola! The beds were super comfy and the office area setup was perfect for getting a little work done while on vacation. We HIGHLY recommend the Steckel carriage house when you are in the Bloomfield area!

Lovely home for a two-night stay. The place was cute and comfortable. The only downside is that the bathroom is downstairs, so when these old people needed it in the middle of the night, it was a sketchy journey down the stairs. If we were younger and healthier it would not have been a problem.

Out of town wedding weekend

This place is cuter in person! I love history and this cottage and the town of Bloomfield is full of it! We were able to walk a couple blocks into town where we saw the historic courthouse, cute shops and there was even a little farmers market going on. The fridge was full of water, yogurt and homemade granola. If we are back in the area we will definitely be looking to stay here again!

I’d definitely recommend!

We were impressed with the cleanliness and cute and cozy little apartment. Our only advise-make sure you know where the lights in the bathroom and entryway are before dark! 😂 We couldn’t find them until the next morning! But I’ve already recommended it to family members!

Charming historic property

Reminded me of the main sitting room of the Hill House in Helensburgh, Scotland looking out at the gardens. It felt very welcoming, and the host left a lovely bouquet of fresh flowers. The property was very clean, well maintained and comfortable. The yogurt and granola provided was a welcome touch. I even enjoyed playing the LPs.
